  • The MY2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a car that i think will really tempt people to move from other brands into Alfa Romeo. The Giulia Quadrifoglio is a absolute beast of a car It runs a 2.9 V6 twin turbo engine producing 500 bhp through the rear wheels. This is a serious car and the question is will the new MY2020 Giulia quadrifoglio destroy the competition?
    well taking what we know from the current my2020 Giulia that i was fortunate enough to go to Italy for the launch. We know that the interior will be much improved. Will we see changes to the engine? will we see changes to the design? its all exciting times and i cant wait for it to be launched!

    The Giulia quadrifoglio is a stunning DRIVER'S car. Period. For those whining about the interface etc - stick an iPad over the screen! It's a sheer driving experience every time I step into mine. Love it. Never driven anything that has so much excitement and a sense of occasion about it.

      Hey Hiten, I'm planning to get an alfa romeo giulia veloce (280hp) in a couple years, do you think it'll still be good? How is the interior quality? All I care for in infotainment is a good navigator as I travel to a lot of different places, and a good menu. I don't need touch screen etc. Just listen to music and navi. My current car is a bmw 428 with 245 hp and rwd. I heard you can't switch off controls on the giulia, is that correct? Sorry for bothering, do you think it is a good daily driver? If so I'd get the awd.

    • @H2TEN
      @H2TEN 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Cliffracer it’s a great car and will still be great in 2 years. To be honest 280 is more than enough for British roads. Also with the nav it’s ok however, you’ll be using Android auto or Apple car play anyway so google maps will be the nav to use. Good luck with your purchase and with awd you’ll be having fun in the rain too!

    For me, I found the Ti Sport / Veloce to be the sweet spot for daily driver duty for several reasons:
    (+) The Q4 system in the non-QV Giulia is outrageously versatile, running full rear wheel drive until you start really slipping in the snow or under hard launch. Wish they offered it on the Giulia QV.
    (+) Better equipped with colored leather options and a beautiful front and rear panoramic sunroof that really lightens up the dark cabin
    (+) The Veloce is lighter, more nimble feeling while also being easily tunable to 350 HP and 4.3 0-60. Realistically as fast as you'll ever need on public roads and you actually get to use the power without worrying about dying or getting arrested, kind of like an MX-5.
    (+) Much lower maintenance, fuel, and depreciation costs.
    I would consider the QV as more of a weekend car, with it's raucous soundtrack, truly excessive/glorious power band, and fully defeatable traction control.

    Hey. Great work fella. Now then having moved from a Bmw M2 to a Stelvio Quad the interior is more then acceptable. Yes the new model is and will be better in terms of tech but when the thing drives that good you don’t mind. Class leading 2020 model I hope so. Go Alfa.

My Audi S5 was horribly over teched and confusion to operate, so that you were often distracted. Love this car.

    I wonder if the AWD system from the Stevio would fit in the Quadrifoglio. I don't think it should be a default option since many purist probably want RWD, but if we're talking pure performance it's pretty clear that Quadrifoglio is traction limited. You can see it in a lot of track videos like the Nurburgring for instance, the rear is always wanting to step out.

    Alfa needs to do everything good if they want to sell their cars. There is not enough driver's perspective buyers so that Alfa could live only by selling their cars to them, but they need to sell the car to the average idiot that needs cup holders and infotainment system similar to what Germans offer, also the sound of a heavy/quality car when they slam the doors (facepalm).

    As a MY 18 QV owner, I just don’t care too much about “led headlights”, touchscreen, etc. I think the console is more than adequate to its competition. The gear lever, however, is cheap plastic and definitely needs to be replaced. I understand that Alfa needs to add the other items to keep up with the competition, but for me, it doesn’t really matter. What I would like to see is more interior color options, a real dual clutch transmission and the option of a sun roof vice a carbon fiber roof. As far as the valve go, I installed the Forza exhaust controller and programmed it into the home link. Works fantastic.

      That is also the problem with electric cars, a boring future with minimal differences is waiting for us...

    Yes still faster than the AMG C classes and the future M3. They may try to match AR's v6 engine's horsepower by being small dick minded by playing keeping up with the Joneses, but they lack the fun, the balance and most importantly the emotion and sound the AR has. Reliability wise AR isn't good but so is BMW and Merc which are as garbage.

    Question on an earlier video with the 4C (I have one too). U kept the standard wheels, the same Pirelli P zero I have. as far as I checked, their min temp is 7° and still u drove it on colder temp. Aren't you afraid u'll damage them? for this reason my car is sleeping this season

    • @StefABtv
      @StefABtv  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep same p zeros. Not really too worried. Don’t drive the car much and in the winter I’m not really pushing it much if I do. Really when they wear I will prob get Michelin PS4’s if they do them for our size wheels. Will see :)

    • @RobertKarlBerta
      @RobertKarlBerta 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with Laurentiu..... I have a 2015 4C LE. Summer tires can get destroyed if driven in freezing temperatures...and many brands of Summer performance tires will void the warranty if driven in freezing weather. The damage is not on the outside of the tire but on the inside....they can tell when they are taken off the wheel. Also traction goes to Sh** in very cold conditions so can be dangerous. Tire Rack has a good write up about all this.

  • @shingnosis
    @shingnosis 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It’s an unbelievable car if you enjoy spending the next 2 years bringing it into the shop for various problems. At least, the was my 30k mile experience. Finally ended with the engine blowing up on the highway on my way home from work. Amazing drivers car though and one of the best cars I’ve ever driven. Good luck if you get one.

    The Giulia Quadrifoglio is a dream car. And this car is so beautiful, from every angle.
    But with the speed limits it's also quite difficult to use it as an everyday car.

    The actual system could do with an update for speed and functionality but the actual interior is pretty good otherwise. The German rivals interiors look flash but are a pain in the ass to use and too much useless tech we don’t need.

    I change car every 2-3 years. 3 years ago I had test driven giulia and passat b8. I picked full option passat 2.0 220 ps dsg. Why? Excellent virtual cockpit & infotainment wih abiility to put sim card in it with internet which I use constantly, sensentional ful led headlights, all assistants including city traffic assistant etc. Giulia is outdated car and I do not care it goes in corners a little better. To be truth about year ago I got myself new touareg which is brilliant car - and again I test drove stelvio and it is seriously outdated now when touareg has advanced ACC that brakes before corners and adapts speed to speed limit signs on roads. I think thats why sales of AR droped almost to zero now and it is over. Whose 2020 updates are joke. Market do to need drivers cars anymore. Cars are necessary evil these days, not the source of passion and fascination thats why such model from AR does not sell at all.

    If it ain't broke don't fix it, Alfa are just following market trend by bringing out a different iteration, I am yet to be convinced on splurging out on a facelift when you can buy the old shape. Old is better in cars tbh, OK I'm still using my iPhone 5s and it makes perfect calls. I watched your fantastic vid on the 2020 facelift in Italy and I still prefer the old shape which I expect the price to fluctuate with the facelift coming into market. Fantastic car, great engine with cracking sound!

    I test drove one when I was looking for my new car. I liked it but was put off by the brake by wire system it was a pain as if you weren’t concentrating you could hit the car in front while trying to stop the car. The fact you couldn’t have the exhaust valves open unless it was in race which would turn the traction control off was another turn off for me. Then the interior was the 3rd thing for me. Ended up in a C63s in the end. Cheers
