I'm so impressed by this. why has nobody fired loads of funding at this development. it's the closest thing to a bike I've seen. it's class. the tank slappers when getting on the power too much too soon. the rear coming round and backing in at the end of the straights. the sense of speed and feel. I played MotoGP 14 to death. hundreds of hours. if it was anything like this I would still be at it today.
Really amazing video vini, you shows a very different game to me lol. I saw your replies to Cody and I downloaded MAXHud as well, it's an really good plugin. The force feedback(or rumble) helps a a lot with riding! Some I have some small questions. firstly what dose Lean Heading Scale changes? My default is 20 and I changed it to 45 but seems no differences in game. And the second one is do you use any of animation mods? It doesn't look like the default riding style. Thanks!
The Lean Heading Scale determines how far the view looks ahead into the turn, given a certain lean angle. Very important setting! Make sure that you are in the right onboard view. There are two, one is fixed to the tank and one moves with the rider, which is the one to use. I use the default modern riding style but I control it manually (see top right box) so it may look slightly different. BTW I use other settings with beta12b and the new MotoGP bikes: FoV 90, Pitch 60, Tilt 20, Lean Heading 55, Helmet Rot. Factor 10, Top/Bottom Offset 5 I also use the MaxHUD plugin for the radar (Size: 60%, Mode: flying markers, Range: 50m, Marker Size: Narrow, Medium FoV). It's very helpful for multiplayer.
What is your Cockpit view settings at? Like your FOV, Pitch, Tilt, Look to Apex, and Lean Heading. Yours looks very smooth at a good level looking through apex perfect, whereas mine is quite the opposite. Very hard to play 1st person like i want. I bought this game a few days ago and I must say.. I am addicted to the realism. From just trying to get out of pit lane without crashing, to completing my first lap without crashing, to completing "fast"(er) laps.. It has all been amazing! There is no glory in practice, but without practice there is no glory.
First, go to My Documents\PiBoSo\GP Bikes\profiles\"profilename" and open profile.ini. Scroll to the [view] section and add (or modify) the line mode=1. My (ingame) cockpit settings are: FoV 90, Pitch 50, Tilt 20, Lean Heading 45 I highly recommend the helmet overlay (and of course the force feedback) of the MaxHUD plugin (forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=79.0), I use it with a rotation factor of 20 (and top/bottom offset of 6). That's the right attitude, glad you're having fun with the game!
Yes, although it is just basic rumble it still gives very useful feedback over the front tyre when braking or accelerating at the limit. ...Also, the onboard view may look extra smooth in my videos because I use manual rider lean, so little steering corrections have no effect on the view.
Yes, right stick for rider lean, left stick for steering (plus clutch and rear brake). Here is my complete controller layout: forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=2826.msg43244#msg43244 You can see my stick inputs in the top right corner of the video. "Lean input" in the top left corner is actually my steering input (which is a relative target lean angle) and "Steering" is the resulting steering angle of the handlebars, which you do not control directly unless you use a special mode called Direct Steer (which is not designed for gamepads so it's not really usable for us).
What are the 2 boxes on the upper right? I have GP Bikes but i cant play it.. i don't have the skills to play i mean... you need to control the bike and the rider separated?
You don't have to but I control the rider manually with the right stick. The left stick is assigned to steering (left/right), clutch (up) and rear brake (down).
This is gorgeous. I'm a big fan of MotoGP games / Ride 2 on console, but this looks like the real deal in terms of simulation. The only computer I own is a 2015 maxed out Macbook Pro. Not sure it can run this. Can you please share your hardware specs? Thanks! I would totally build a PC if I had to, for this.
It IS the real deal, the game only uses real physics to calculate forces! Almost any computer can run GP Bikes, the system requirements are very low. Just download the demo (gp-bikes.com/?page=downloads) and do a short performance test (of course you need Windows). Don't waste your time playing the demo, though. GP Bikes is about the community created content and you'll need a full license to get access to that. Just join us in the forum (forum.piboso.com) and people will give you all the information you need!
Hey Vini, thanks for the reply mate! I know it can probably run it, but not sure if it will be smooth. That's why I wanted to sort of gauge from someone else running it at a decent frame rate and graphics settings. Will definitely join the forum! would still like to know what you are running if don't mind :) thanks!
My specs are 8GB RAM, i5-2500K & GTX 970 but I use Vsync@120Hz, otherwise I'd probably get around 300fps. In any case, it should run smoothly on a '15 Macbook Pro but the demo will give you clarity.
TH-cam is buggy so I'm replying to this comment instead of the one you wrote yesterday. You'll find most of the info about my equipment in the description box. I usually set the bikes up very aggressive (low & "quick" front, high & slightly slower rear, low rake, short swingarm) for high apex speed, easier slides and better feel for the front. I don't use TCS or AW and EB is either at 2 or 3 for the MotoGP bikes. The most important thing is getting the gearing right, so that you can ride nice tight lines and get a good corner exit. This depends strongly on your riding style and can take quite some time to figure out for each track but it's worth it.
do you mean rear brake? i only use it to correct my line when i run too deep and to tame the wheelie out of corners. with the new motogp bikes i don't really it need anymore because they are much smoother. as for general braking technique on a xbox pad, try gripping the brake trigger like this: forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=3589.msg60900#msg60900
Vini ill check it out and hey I've veen trying demo for couple of days and considering getting the full version but the 125 looses its front end REAL QUICK even when i dont accelerate hard are these moto gp bikes same? and is it still worth spending 27€ ?
Check out this more recent onboard battle for even more accurate physics: th-cam.com/video/gKVzcxM5rSc/w-d-xo.html

best bike game ever made
Unreal riding!
Thx but GPB was shit back then compared to now....

Got it, I do use the view that moves with rider. Many thanks Vini!

Awesome man! Yea i have the MaxHUD. Soo the force feedback actually works with an xbox controller??
Yes, although it is just basic rumble it still gives very useful feedback over the front tyre when braking or accelerating at the limit.

That will help a LOT! Thanks for that tip! And do you use right stick to lean and left stick to steer?

You da man Vini! Thanks
i want to get this game but i dont like how in the demo you can't trust the front tire
how does the 125 compare to the other bikes?
utter crap. not comparable to the mod bikes.
Vini nice.
I'll get this game as soon as I can then, thanks
geiler shit. Das ist nocht mehr SIM als SBK 2001. So eine Motorrad Simulation brauch der Markt.

super moment avec vin rider+++
Is there a option to have vibration with the joypad???
You'll need the MaxHUD plugin for that.
Check my responses to CODY KEITH for more info.

hey. where can I get that version of the mugello? it looks fantastic. great video.
"NC Mugello" in the track database.
Go to forum.piboso.com for more info.
thank you !
How do you guys find each other online? Honest to god no-ones ever on when I look XD
You need the tracks in order to see the servers.
Here are all servers online: stats.gp-bikes.com/servers.php
