You certainly have some weird comments. I enjoyed your video, thank you for sharing with us! Learned about this restaurant just today and it is absolutely breath-taking!
I have been waiting for your videos on this trip. What a beautiful restaurant. Loved seeing it through your eyes. Just wished you didn’t play music to cover up the noises in the restaurant. I feel more as if I was experiencing the real thing when I can hear the actual noises and chatter. Loved being able to browse the entire menu with you and that you allowed us to see the check. It’s so helpful for planning our trip budget. Great video. Thank you An and Jeff. Please release more videos!!
I appreciate your thoughts. Unfortunately some of the background noise is actually silent, some just too loud or annoying or I'm editing snippets together and the background sounds would be too choppy. It is easier to treat background where we are not talking the same. I do appreciate your watching the video. There is more to come.
Im very sorry, that yor totally missed out the stark contrast, from standing ( after arrival) on a train platform, and then just climbing up the stairs and landing in that ambience. I was baffled when i did just that in the early seventies ( last century of course) It was a secret tip from a guide line book for secret places in Paris, only locals would know. ( in a small book from the cigarette brand Gauloise nearly as small as their packets of cigarettes an in the same color) I wonder, if that still exists. It was full of very , very, good recommendations of hidden, secret places and sensations no tourist would ever discover.
I have no idea what you're talking about, to be honest. We didn't arrive by train at Le Train Bleu. We walked to the station from elsewhere in the city. In addition, there was very unattractive scaffolding around the staircase to the restaurant, in the station. So, we worked with what we had.
Not really. But it was a nice evening. The place is lovely The food, I don't have to necessarily have again. There are so many other places in Paris where it might not be so expensive OR where I wouldn't mind spending the money.
The waitress did not speak English ??? You are in France, how about YOU learning a bit of French ??? I am sure that if I go in the USA nobody will do the effort to speak in French !!!
Excuse me! I speak French. I studied French for 8 years, back in school, over 53 yrs ago! I am not fluent. I always speak French, here in France and start EVERY interaction in France in French. My husband does not speak much French and is working on learning. If you followed our channel for a long time, you'd know this. There is no need for nasty remarks. It is very rare for people in the hospitality field to not speak English, particularly in Paris. Most young people in France are required to study English. Many pretend not to know any English. Regardless, I start every conversation in French. However, if I don't understand what the person is saying and don't want to spend a lot of time trying to translate what a busy server, getting impatient with us, for not understanding, what she is saying, in the interest of saving time, I WILL ask if the person speaks English--especially if it is a conversation my husband is trying to have with someone who doesn't understand his limited French. And if they say they don't speak English, as a last resort we use Google translate. We don't need lectures on learning French. We live in France and frankly I prefer to speak French. Comments like yours are not helpful.
They have finished all of the redecorating on the outside. It’s gorgeous!

Your videos make me feel like I am in Paris
Your biggest fan!
That's great! It's like you WERE there with me!
Was there an elevator? Will we need to carry our luggage up that beautiful staircase?
We went there a few years back, very nice restaurant and good food too.
Yes, definitely!
Thank you for sharing! I will be visiting in December 2024!
