I think this might make a great series of videos if you are so inclined - various uses for native plants. We used to munch on wood sorrel all the time when we were kids in southern Ohio. We made salads of purple sweet violets and sorrel for our tea parties.

Okay Jinni.... I'm so happy you did this video. I was just out pulling weeds around the house, ripped out about 2 gallon size ziplock bags of this stuff as I was listening to this video. I felt bad for not watching it, so I rewatched it. Now I feel so silly for not knowing this was edible!!!! I've been doing this stuff out for years! I'll be foraging it from now on. THANK YOU!! 😂

I’m just now starting to get into this subject I like the thought of more healthy then healthy food🤣 I’ve been Learning a lot the past few days and how dangerous some plants can be it’s definitely a topic a lot of people should now and in a year or two or maybe more I hope I’m on the mushroom expert level but I guess we’ll have to wait and see

I just made some "Lemonade" from it yesterday. When warm it tastes great and is very comforting.
It is also great to add to White Clover Iced tea on those 90 degree days. ❤

I remember as a kid thinking it was such a treat if you found a green seed pod on them. Had to be green before the seeds matured to a black color. They are tart and citrusy. Don’t know why I stopped eating them. Great video. Would love to see more on foraging. 👍🏻💖

We used to eat it as kids. We called it sweet clover and we called the seed pods rockets.

Very good video - the best I have seen about foraging. The video of the plant was great and you explained about it very well. Other videos and books on foraging leave me guessing what the plant is that I am trying to identify - but your video on this wood sorrel made it very identifiable. I hope you will do more videos on other plants to forage. Thanks for this very helpful video.

Love these kind of Videos, there's an abundance of Free food out there.
We call it Cuckoos meat in UK, & our Flowers are White.
It reminds me of Apple peel.
TFS HC, take care & keep really busy everyone.❤🙂🐶

    Hi Jinne 👋🏻
We love wood sorrel, especially in spring salads. I tried to let it grow in my garden, but it is trying to take over. 😅 I will keep a patch but I am pulling most of it now.
