Am I the only one who loved Cypher pt.4? For me, everyone were great but my favorite part was Rap Monster's part. You said it was like Rap Monster did the rap after he woke up, but obviously it was on purpose, it's sarcasm, he was like "I don't care anymore, you talk nonsense, I will not give all I have just for you" that's why I love his part! Of course, I respect your opinion, I just wanted to tell you mine ^^

I hope they continue the Cypher series because they are obviously very much needed to deal with and call out all the hate from other people.

Personally 3 had the best hook, 4 had the best beat and 2 had the best verses.
But all three are bops so I can't complain only 1 doesn't do anything for me but it's completely understandable since that's their rookie days. I agree Suga's verse in this absolutely slayed everyone's life even tho his verses in all the cyphers are the best for me, I believe the reason RapMon's verse seemed weaker here is because all of them seemed to have a role in here. Since the theme was "Love Yourself instead of hating on me" RapMon took on the chill sarcastic tone where he is showing them he dgaf which explains the lazy flow, Jhope took on the nonchalant "Hater Who? I'm here chilling with my bros" tone and Suga was like straight murder "I'll hull your piece of shit car" attitude he always had but then last second he's like "stay healthy tho" lmao

suga's parts always seem to be the best for raps. His lyrics and flow are the best.
Y'all are so salty. Bryson is entitled to his own opinions, and he's not a hardcore kpop fan so he's not gonna remember who raps. To be honest the first time I listened to it I didn't like it as much as the others, but I'm in love with it now. I think you two said it perfectly. RapMonster's part definitely could have picked up, he has the talent. But I love the lyrics of this. I believe the beginning of this where RapMon was talking about pronunciation and diction, he was referring to the people who would make fun of his accent when he spoke English.

RM can do his part the way he wants to, rap isn't all about speed. His part imo was the best, just because he has the talent doesn't mean he has to rap fast each time. He's been trying sing a lot more lately which is why it has more of a singing tone to it and it honestly sounds perfect and he slays. I hate how literally everyone always complains about his part cause it was "too slow" or w.e the hell you're trying to say. How about you listen to his voice, his flow, and read the lyrics that's the point

I have to strongly 110% agree with you. I love Suga and when he raps, but when RM raps it's much deeper. He's directing his lyrics to people who are saying Namjoonie doesn't have the looks and his English isn't good. (Which I think his English is amazing for being born in Korea unlike the Kpop groups who were born in America)
I feel like bts wanted to try the trend and I appreciate them trying something new, but it really didnt highlight their rapping skills and could've done so much better. I also didn't like the song at first, but bc they're roasting the haters I grew to love it lmao! I appreciate the honesty of this channel and how bryson actually said his opinion rather than lying for views. Only delusional fans would think everyone would like the same music. Suga's verse was by far the best this time.
I genuinely like this song, and monie and hobi's verses, but no obviously it is not the best cypher. I think maybe the fans who prefer this one are the ones who "don't like rap" 😑 I love how no one can deny suga's talent tho, even in a song they don't like yoongi is still the best.

I actually think Bryson did a good job analyzing the song and giving reasons why he didn't like it. I honestly didn't like this Cypher at first either, even though it has grown on me. I appreciate that RapMon tried a new style, but I don't think it suits his voice.
I agree that cypher pt.3 was better than this. Its good but not as good as part 3. I also agree that Suga killed it. I was kinda disappointed in this cypher, I expected something different.

I feel like the weakness in this song is the build-ups. Only Suga actually built something with his rap, going hard in the beginning with speed, then slowly raising his overall intonation and ending on an ironic note.
RapMon and J-Hope... I feel like there's no real build-up. RapMon's beginning was really promising, but he failed to hype it up. As for J-Hope, I just feel like his ending did not feel like an ending. It felt like he still had like 8 bars to go.
Finally. I was also so so so hyped for pt. 4, and didn't expect this kind of approach at all. I didn't like it, I hated that Rapmon went so soft, I think that only Suga kept the killer concept. But after listening their explanation about it, they wanted to try new things, and they are so tired of all haters getting on their back because they are becoming more and more mainstream. Because of that I really respect this version, and I think that there will be no more cyphers from BTS. Pt.3 Killer was really cool and you should watch that live perf. by them with supreme boi. Views for you, enjoyment for us. :)

I have to agree with Bryson. Cypher 3 is my favorite and then 2. On first listen, cypher 4 made me cringe with the constant "bae" I really only cared for suga's part. Only did i like it when I read the lyrics but that's probably only what I'd do is read the lyrics.
actually i like Brsyons point of view.. the auto-tune kinda didnt fit for me too , but i love the fact that rapmoni tried slow-trap rap this time tho he could have done a fast rap which can slay everyone, .. btw cypher 2 is my fav here , cypher 4 didnt top it for me..and yes Suga always slays indeed :3

yeah at first i didn't really dig it too compared to their previews cypher but then i realized it's actually a laid back cypher they're still dissing but they're having fun doing it. Rapmon's verse is full of sarcasm i love it. The live performance of this is gonna be lit for sure.

my exact thoughts, people usually complain abt RM's part cause they expect him to go hard since his name is literally monster but cos his part is slow they always say he was being lazy or smth but that's not the case at all. he's trying to sing more now that's why his part had kind of like a singing tone to it more than rapping but I liked it the best tbh he slayed ❤❤

Namjoonie Oppa Exactly, people thinks that rapping fast and going hard = good and were dissapointed with rapmon verse but his and all 3 of them actually had a lot of wordplay and references. But since he is not a bts fan and a lot of armys actually dont appreciate the differents genres in hip hop as this cypher and thinks the same way i pointed out at first.

In my opinion this was the best cypher because in all the other cyphers someone was weak not all of them sort of rose (except for suga). But I feel like in this cypher rap mon slayed and JHOPED FUCKING SLAYYYYEDD MY ASSSS like personally he was the best in this cypher then any other and suga yet again slays as always. Matt chill.. People's opinion, we respect it... Even me, am a hard core fan.. At first this cypher was not that good but then, this became that 'one track' without which i cant sleep until i listen to it. And seeing the cypher series as a whole, i feel this balanced the part 3 hyper level. And dont forget, rapping need not spit all time. It requires some space too. Above all the lyrics, 'i love hate comments more than no comments, coz u know me but i dont know you' hit us hard. Even you guys should relate to this line coz i feel you worry about dislikes a lot lol. But then, good job for ur honest reaction.

Oh man, Rapmon's part was my favorite in this? I'm not too big on BRS in general, but I really appreciated that he's bringing variation and /doesn't/ try to spit fire or whatever. Instead, he made this simple but effective wordplays. He seems to be so flexible, whereas Suga and J-Hope just seemed uncomfortable in this tempo...?. I mean... it's obviously your opinion, so never be afraid to say it, yeah? :3 P.S.: Yes Matt, that beat is really cool!
3 is the best in my opinion as well. and my first reaction is the same as that guys that don't like it, it seems slow. but after I see the lyrics I understand they trying to bluff that's why they didn't sound angry but they sounds bluffing and mocking. Well I also did not like this cypher at first too and I also liked part 3 the best because when it comes to rapping, I like aggressive flow better. But this song just grew on me and I ended up chanting "SORRY BAE" and "I LOVE MYSELF" on a daily basis LMAO

As for myself, I really I liked how completely Cypher 4 brought it! I may be new ARMY but I enjoy the Rapline's skill so much it hurts:) Although this Cypher is high on my list of epicness, even I admit I enjoy Cypher 3 the most:)
I agree the beat in Cypher 4 is slowed down but it has this chill vibe and RapMon delivered some sweet chill bars, J-Hope is the most diverse in his skill level as far as using different tones and rapping style but Suga did in fact breathlessly set this song on fire! But I couldn't feel this way without Rapmon and J-Hope because to me, the whole song perfectly escalates into epic yet smooth finality:)

To be completely honest: I agree with Bryson. I don´t hate this cypher, but this one disappointed me big time.
The beat reminded me way to much of the bad rappers in USA and I absolutely hated Rap Monster´s verse. The first time I heard the song I despised it, but with time I started accepting it, now is in my iphone and everything. Still, the disapointment is still there...

Yes, Cypher 3 was fire itself. I didn't like C4 at first. Kinda disappointed with RapMon's part, but I'm totally into it now, But C3 is still at the top for me.

I absolutely loved Cypher pt 3 so when Cypher pt 4 came out, I was a bit skeptical and didn't like the song at first. But after a while I came to love it but I still feel that I like Cypher pt 3 better haha

Like the first time I hear cypher pt. 4 i was kinda disappointed and I didn't get why averybody say it was the best and so, for me it was just... nahh, but I mean, everybody has their opinion. But I think is the type of song you have to listend to more times to grown fond to it, or at least that's why happens to me, the more I listen to it the more I like. I didn't like it at first as well. Everyone was saying that this is the best Cypher and i couldn't understand why because i was slightly disappointed. They were pretty chill and didn't show much of their capbilities. However i understand that they are going for a different style to suit the rest of the songs in the album. After listening to it for afew times i actually started liking it more than the other cyphers, as a song for me to listen casually. It's a really good and fun song actually. And Suga slayed.
i actually wasnt into this song at first, but i listen to cypher 3 a lot. But cypher 4 is sooo much different, and the rap style doesnt win for the speed and hype of course, but i think it's really artistic and very much sopisthicated. Cypher 4 is also good for dance track for sure.

Bryson knows and listens to more kpop songs/artists than most people i know, even those consider themselves kpopers, and yep he still considers himself a non-kpoper, if he isn't them I'm tripped.

Well, he doesn't really listen to "a lot" of it. There may be a song here and there like Keith Ape or NCT U, but for the most part he listens to American music. Even though after a year of watching K-Pop, he's very knowledgeable about it, he wouldn't consider himself a fan :)

RapMon was more sarcastic and teasing he talked about the comments that people made about is face and not looking like and idol, JHope verse was more laid back he talled about his achievements and how he and his group is not bothered anymore, Suga was straight up lit as expected everything said is like a burn to anyone who has hate on them and I love how he wished them a good health afterward xD you can always expect Suga to go all out and spit fire in his verse he disses directly 😎
I actually think this Cypher was the best, when you think about it all their cyphers were due to situation that has happened to them, this was not about B-Free, as you know BTS has alot of antis and people that hate on them for no reason, so this Song was dedicated for that purpose, due to that BTS has has a hard time in the industry and they were hard on themselves, so i'm glad that hey finally lashed back! they always sing about the things that happens around them, it wasnt as hard hitting like cypher 3, but that just the beauty of it isn't always about the beat ^^

He isn't a K-Pop fan, but as of right now he's very knowledgeable about it. Again, at the time he watched Cypher 3, he didn't know anything. He's only seen a few BTS videos at the time.
I'm a hardcore army and I don't like this song either. Suga's part was really good but the rest is just too slow for me. I even liked SFB's version of the song a bit better even though I'm Dutch and music in our own language is kind of considered a joke here. But at least it fit the beat better.

I'm not saying he isn't allowed to have an opinion but literally everyone sort of comes for RM in this cypher. It's like they always expect him to go hard or fast but that's not the point of the cyphers or rap in general. They're literally saying "come on RM you can do better than that, you're a monster for fuck's sake. where's the speed?" how about you actually listen to the flow and read the lyrics that's the point

I don't get why Bryson would get hate for expressing his own personal opinion. He already said he definitely didn't have the intention of offending neither BTS nor fans, and he was simply stating what he personally thought and that it didn't come to his taste, and prefer the previous cypher's.
I personally love cypher 4, but I'm not gonna judge others who didn't. I'm glad he said what's on his mind rather than lying, because then it wouldn't have been an honest reaction. If fans are easily hurt by a reaction that didn't like what they like, then they can simply watch other reactions who are into their music taste instead of bashing one innocent male who's honest.
Honestly, I love them for always being somehow frank. You know what I mean? They're giving out their honest opinions, and I don't think we shouldn't make it much of a big deal since opinions vary. Finally, I was waiting for this video! Definitely agree with Bryson, they could've done so much better. I also think that they didn't need to give us a pt.4... I don't know, this one felt half-hearted. I like the beat, along with Suga and J-Hope's rap as well; RM's rap almost made want to skip when I first listened T_T. Hopefully you guys don't get too much hate. It's just an honest, unhateful opinion :).
