At age 75, I have learned that prices almost NEVER go down. I raised six gigantic 6'5"- 6'9" athletic sons, and they nearly ate us out of house and home when they were teenagers, we sure could have used $3k worth of groceries! I was always cooking and baking. Now it is just the two of us, the meals I make are somehow harder to make, lots of leftovers we never eat, and stuff expires before we get to use it. Somehow, I miss the crazy chaos we used to have back in the day, but do not miss doing all the laundry I was always doing! 😌 Enjoy this time with your kids, honey, before you know it, they will be one! You do the same as me. While hubby goes and picks up order, I clean the refer, clear counters. And if I have enough time I sweep, mop and vacuum. Then we get some kind of treat that night for supper for our jobs well done.😊❤
I love the storage area. My left arm for a home that I'll be able to do something like that for my husband and myself. I told him that our next home must have a walk in pantry.
If you have extra floor space, but not closet or dedicated room. Better Home &Garden cube storage units are the 💣 . I also have Walmart brand, but not as sturdy. 2x8 cubes, lengthwise, behind a couch and draped, makes a great 'table', or even a low 'wall'. And very stable. Spreads weight across floor rather than the 4 points of a metal shelf unit. 😊 They do NOT come apart for moving , though.

So I just found out that there is no sales tax in the month of August in the state of Tennessee.. to help familys, as their beginning the school year.. so check out your state.. and yes, do save money by monthly shopping.. less time in the store, less buying unnecessary stuff
@christinabaldwin407 Yes, where I am also. It was on school supplies, clothing, etc. I read that the state decided not to do the tax free groceries this year because it was not in the budget. They wanted to give tax breaks to businesses.

I noticed you buy the Cento brand tomato’s for your homemade pasta sauce. I just want to share that using the Cento brand Certified San Marzano tomatoes will level up your sauce. Yep, having stocked shelves means I can pass a jar of instant coffee, and peanut butter to Dad, or box of cereal, any meals I cook, he also gets dinner boxes. Or fruit box, when I wash/sort fruit from the grocery run.

Insomnia...some times i go days when I only get a 10 to 15 minute cat nap. I have been exhausted for weeks. My doctor started digging and we are on the road to fixing the problem. Now I'm catching up. Usually in bed by 10pm and then sleep until 4 or 5 in the afternoon. Sure glad I am retired.

That stainless steel cleaner is my all time favorite. You're going to love it! Btw Costco sells a large box of scrub mommy's for about $15 since i heard you mentioned going to costco. It's a great deal and good for stocking up on sponges.

Wow I'm tired after all that lol. I have to try kruteaz waffle mix I just use pearl milling co. Also I wanted to suggest heinz simply ketchup. My 13yo didn't notice the difference. It's really good.

Must feel good to get all this done before school starts. How long does the food last if you dont mind me asking. I also like to bulk buy certain items. You should try making brown sugar. Its just molasses mixed with ehite sugar. It stays fresh longer than store bought. I made a batch in December and i opened jp ny Tupperware and it was still soft and fresh just like the day i made it. I only say this because therenis notjing more annoying than brown sugar thats clumped and stale which usually happens within a week of opening the package. This part of my comment disappeared probably a youtube issue That parmesan cheese is actually wood pulp i recently found out. I have been eating it my whole life. The back of the bottle will say cellulose fibers thats the wood pulp they put in to prevent clumping and preserve it 😮
Yes, it does feel so good! We continually rotate the food to avoid expiration. This food will last around 8 months to a year depending on how much entertaining we do (which is usually a lot). Wow!!!! Wood pulp!! That’s pretty gross 🤢 Thank you so much for watching!😀

You have a huge grocery haul too . And it makes a differences if you have a Big Family. I like your Grocery Haul , you have a variety of food . You mention stainless steel and I was wondering what to clean my stove with and soon I'll be buying a new Refrigerator . I started my fall cleaning outside of home , I want to have the outside clean before they put the permanent Christmas Lights on the home. When it's Easter , I can have different lights turned on outside ( purple , pink, etc ) on the home , you can do this with any holidays colors. They can be Solid color or Multi color . And then I'll be Fall Cleaning the inside of home. Get the entire home (inside / outside ) ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas . I do this twice a year for the cleaning .

I don’t like that great value brand, except one item it’s called famous chicken fingers {they taste exactly like the kind in a sub shop} it comes in a 3lb bag in freezer section and is out of stock often because there so good. Highly recommend! 10 out of 10 stars

Last year it was August through October tax free on food. I wonder if they will do it again here in Tennessee?
Our tax free weekend in Ohio was extended this year. July 30-Aug 8. Ours includes pretty much anything $500 or less. Even includes restaurants.
This is a great haul....and this is how I shop....I hat grocery shopping so only do it a couple of times a year and love it this way...

Yeah I use the Idaho potatoes as a thickener also, and often recommend for that reason on my channel 😊
Denture tablets are also great for cleaning glassware! Just fill your dirty item with hot water, and drop the tablets in.

That stainless steel cleaner is my all time favorite. You're going to love it! Btw Costco sells a large box of scrub mommy's for about $15 since i heard you mentioned going to costco. It's a great deal and good for stocking up on sponges.

Wow I'm tired after all that lol. I have to try kruteaz waffle mix I just use pearl milling co. Also I wanted to suggest heinz simply ketchup. My 13yo didn't notice the difference. It's really good.

Must feel good to get all this done before school starts. How long does the food last if you dont mind me asking. I also like to bulk buy certain items.
You should try making brown sugar. Its just molasses mixed with ehite sugar. It stays fresh longer than store bought. I made a batch in December and i opened jp ny Tupperware and it was still soft and fresh just like the day i made it. I only say this because therenis notjing more annoying than brown sugar thats clumped and stale which usually happens within a week of opening the package.
This part of my comment disappeared probably a youtube issue That parmesan cheese is actually wood pulp i recently found out. I have been eating it my whole life. The back of the bottle will say cellulose fibers thats the wood pulp they put in to prevent clumping and preserve it 😮
Yes, it does feel so good! We continually rotate the food to avoid expiration. This food will last around 8 months to a year depending on how much entertaining we do (which is usually a lot). Wow!!!! Wood pulp!! That’s pretty gross 🤢

You mention stainless steel and I was wondering what to clean my stove with and soon I'll be
buying a new Refrigerator .
I started my fall cleaning outside of home , I want to have the outside clean before they put the
permanent Christmas Lights on the home. When it's Easter , I can have different lights turned on
outside ( purple , pink, etc ) on the home , you can do this with any holidays colors. They can be Solid color or Multi color .
And then I'll be Fall Cleaning the inside of home. Get the entire home (inside / outside ) ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas .
I do this twice a year for the cleaning .

Hey there! We always have the dates in order so we use the oldest items first. I also plan our meals around food items that expire first…it is a lot of organizing, but worth it😀

Expiration dates are pretty much irrelevant.
@singerjo5791 it’s true… Items last so much longer than the expiration as long as they are kept out of the sun in comfortable temperatures.
School supplies, hair dye, plug ins, all kinds of personal items are included so that's a big part of this. Idk about needing all of the pre-made food, but if it makes u guys happy and u have $3000, good 👍.

I don’t like that great value brand, except one item it’s called famous chicken fingers {they taste exactly like the kind in a sub shop} it comes in a 3lb bag in freezer section and is out of stock often because there so good. Highly recommend! 10 out of 10 stars

Hi there! Absolutely! I plan my meals around fresh ingredients that we have and proteins that will expire the quickest. I normally do a meal plan on my grocery halls… But not on the most recent one because that was a project of its own… Lol! Thank you so much for watching and hope you have an awesome night!😀
Does any of this expire before you use it? I have a small stash of food that I find hard to use up before things expire.
We plan our meals are expiration dates😆 We also do a lot of entertaining…I really do not like wasted food….the system that I use keeps us from wasting food…😀

Thank you so much! We do a lot of holiday cooking, baking, as well as entertaining. Plus, we have two hungry teenagers. We plan our menus around the products that are closest to expiration. Our goal is definitely not to waste food. Prices have been going up almost weekly. If we buy it now, it will be cheaper than buying it 3 to 6 months from now. Thank you so much for watching!😀
