LOVE the Saturn, don't know why people are so against using 4 blades on these, it looks amazing! Like the Panama too, just wanted to add that the low speed on your Panama is the same as on Casablanca's 3 speed stack motor fans, like the Delta II/III; it's 55RPM and uses a 5 uF capacitor. They should've used a 3.5uF like newer pull chain Casablancas do....that, along with the switch to regular capacitors and a better mounting system, were a few of the positive things to come out of the Hunterization of Casa's fans. Still, it is sad to say that it wouldn't have been logistically feasible to keep fans of this quality around for less than $500 😢

"It's sad that Casablanca and Hunter came together to form the biggest turd of a ceiling fan company that exists" - Hunter bought Casablanca in 1996. The "Hunterization" of Casablanca began very subtly... actually as soon as the deal was sealed, with the "Perma-Lock" downrods which were basically identical to the 3/4" screw in downrods Hunter uses. The first generation Wailea actually reused the R&M-era Original isolation rings, albeit drilled for 4 or 6 blades in the same manner Homestead used, with all 12 holes spaced evenly apart. By the late 2000s, things started to look bleak as Hunter increasingly began to relabel what was formerly their "Prestige" line, which was the top-tier showroom exclusive portion of their product line as Casablanca.
The Panama II like what is shown here was available until 2013 with maybe a year of overlap between it and the current style "Hunterized" Panama. The HunterBlanca version was actually available with the XLP motor until the XLP was phased out altogether after 2014 (15?) but other than the motor, it was all Hunter bullshit.
That said, Hunter's showroom line, performance wise at least, is supposedly... not terrible. A lot of their showroom models supposedly... *supposedly* use 188mm spinner motors, but their home store line has gone to absolute dog shit. Personally I wouldn't buy a brand new Hunter fan that isn't an Original.
Side note: Jin You pull chain switches; Jin You is the make of chain switch Moss liked to use. A few other brands used them but Moss is the brand that immediately comes to mind when someone says "Jin You pull chain switch". I seem to recall you mentioning in an earlier video (and this has been my experience personally) that "Moss was notorious for using very hard to pull chain switches", so it comes as no surprise to me that the Jin You switch in this Panama II is probably equally hard if not slightly harder to pull than a Moss switch

Seems like he changes his ceiling fans around a lot. I mean yeah, I get it, I'm a collector too, but I don't change mine every 2 weeks.

I've got like 15 or so, seems like a good amount. I don't want to fill my house...yet. And out of the 15, maybe 10 are functional. I'm into portable fans more, though.
