  • Fort Steele was a gold rush boom town founded in 1864. Although the town was never a fort, the "Fort" part of the name comes from the North-West Mounted Police station. We pulled in on our way through the Canadian Rockies because we saw a gigantic water wheel from the road. The video and still pictures were taken one year apart.

I captured the video and some stills in July, 1997 while touring with a friend. Other stills were shot in July, 1998 when I took my wife through the area. Thanks for watching and asking. Dave.

You are most certainly welcome I was born in Cranbrook BC in 1995 and it was great when I spent a great deal of my childhood at Fort Steele from when I first went there on my grade 1 field trip there and if you would like I have a video where I mention this as a filming location as part of a film project I came up with.

Green Tiger Productions I watched your intro video. Good luck on your adventure. Video is an excellent way to express yourself. I have enjoyed video production since 1990. Dave.
