I’ve always heard chicken wire is for keeping chickens in, it will not keep predators out.

Dead stock is always disappointing, but the reality is that sometimes there's nothing you can do to prevent it all.
You guys have grown to a giant operation from what you were in California, and you've learned through it all. Don't be too hard on yourself, you guys care for your animals so much- they have an excellent life with you until it's time for them to feed your family❤

Don't be so hard on yourself. Unfortunately if you have livestock, you will ocassionaly have dead stock. It's just a fact of farming. But that being said, I am sorry for your loss, and I do understand how heartwrenching it can be. Hugs, Zanna
You all handle the ups and downs so well, I know it is hard and appreciate your sharing the bad with the good. I don't have any livestock but our big dog passed in 11/22, no emergency vet where we live (one was an hour away) and triage was over the phone. From 5pm to 2 am we sat with him and did what we could to make him comfortable, then they told us that we could come in and he passed in the car 20 minutes before we got there.
Oh I'm so sorry! Such an awful experience. But you can rest in the knowledge that you did everything you were able to, and that you were with him and loved him until the end.

Do you plan on expanding your beef cattle stock?
At this point we do not plan to add more herd members. We will go over our beef plan in another video sometime.
