The point is they equally extort. Even when there is no fault, they find any means to extort.
At the Kotoka airport, Africans that flew in are extorted. Not just in Ghana, the extortion cut across Africa country. At the border crossing, the officers frequently extort.

I have had first hand experience with Ghana Police. They are amazing honestly, they get paid peanuts, you will get some bad nuts but overall they are amazing tbh. One night after partying and coming home with a lady, at 3am they stopped us and rather than asking me, they called the gal aside and asked is she was ok and not kidnapped. I was shocked, they checked everything and said you can go. None asked for money
U ain't making sense. Bottom line is, there are good n bad or corrupt police officers in every society world over. Depending on who u meet, u get different experience. This shouldn't be an issue of discourse except for little minds like this TH-camr n most of his followers n subscribers

Few months back, group of Ghanaian police were caught robbing bullion van.
Am proud of the Ghana police. AS a Ghanaian in abroad when I visited visited Ghana I came across alot of Ghanaian police. Most of them when they stopped me they didn't ask for money.
I went to Nigeria in 2021 see visit my family because i was born in Ghana so i have a Ghana ecowas passport as i reach nija they took my passport and told me that am not a Ghanaian so how did i got the passport and i said let me call the Ghanaian embassy and they refused until they collected 50 euro's from me before releasing my passport hmmm Africa
Ghana Police service serves the people of Ghana.

Ghana police will catch you because. Every street and road and alley has a 24/7 camera/video on every poll. And th3 cameras are connected to the Ghana police service digital surveillance system. The other major towns also have their regional connections.
I think, the recent good work of the Ghana Police, has skmething to do with the attitude and discipline of the police leadership, particularly, the high quality demeanor of the IGP Dr. Dampare. Congratulation IGP and Ghana Police Service!

I think this is like washing your dirty linen in public.. we have this habit of police extortion so it's become normal... the reason is going as far as asking a traveller.. In my opinion he asked,You cannot tell me he wouldn't take if she offered as he asked... Even in police law when someone commit crime the person can be charged for attempted to act or commit and then committed if the person actually did the crime so he should no better as an officer... As Nigerian I am you're right about Nigerian police,but Ghana police, immigration some of them are horrible as well,I have different horrible experiences with them, they sized my passport for hours just because I refused to bribe them,they do collect bribe once they discover you're Nigerian,if you're from togo or Benin republic your bribe fee is low but they believed Nigerians have money,they can put you in cell if you refuse to bribe them especially those one's at border
