As a student of performance arts, I liked how you two analyzed their MV(both the aesthetics, dance and song).
(G)I-DLE are performers more than anything, and their dances always are linked to their songs.They are not apart from it, they are *a* part of it.

Most groups are only "sing(well or not) and dance(well or not)" and while they can have stage presence it doesn't mean that it all can be seen as a single thing.
Only few have this "flair for theatrics/theater" and these ones tend to also be the ones able to mix it all into a single thing.
The rapper- Soyeon is considered the best female rapper right now and is also the writer and producer of the song. She is a legend in the making. Also the red hair girl (Minnie) is not Korean , she is Thai and the short hair girl (Yuqi) is Chinese , and the last girl you see w the flame in her hand is from Taiwan.
The taiwanese is called Shuhua, why not say her name as well ✨

I loved that you reacted to (G)I-dle, they are my favorite GG, you can also just say I-dle thats how they introduce themselfs.
Here is some info (maybe its going to be a bit longer):
(G)I-dle made their debute in May of 2018.
They are a self produced group, they wouldnt have had there debute if it wasn´t for Soyeon (the main rapper, leader) she produced and wrote and I believe, also arranged their debute single LATATA, as well as most other songs on their albums. They all have a huge part in making there comebacks look the way they do!
Soyeon is my Bias, because she not only writes and produces, raps, sings but also does choreo as well. And she has an amazing stage presence and huge charisma. Soyeon was on Produce 101 and made it to 20th place, after that when she was like 17, she went on Unpretty Rapstar 3 and got third place there.
In 2017 she had a solo debute, with singles like Jelly.
Miyeon, she is called the powervocal of the group. She was a YG Trainee predebute of (G)I-dle, and was supposed to debute with BLACKPINK.
She is going to be on the Web Drama Replay for her debute as an actress.
Soojin, is the Main dancer, and even though she tends to be pretty shy of camerra/stage, she can be really sexy. You should check out her cover of "Got It" as Artist of the Moth. She was featured in Soyeon´s Solo MV´s where she is waering a Cat-Mask as to not reveal her Identity.
Minnie, the red haired one with the really dreamy like voice, is the first of (G)I-dle´s foreign line, she is Thai and friends with BLACKPINKS Lisa. Soyeon, Yuqi and her, are the main producers and writers of the group, with Soyeon having most credits. She did a collaboration with Wengie on the song Empire, its an amazing song!
Yuqi, the girl with the deep voice and short hair, is the second foreign member, she is from China. She loves rapping and is also really good at it. She was the Co-Host of the chinese TV-Show Keep Running. Alongside Minnie and Soyeon she produced and wrote some of I-dle´s Songs.
Shuhua, the one with the burning hand in the end of the MV, she is the third member of the foreign line, as she is Taiwanese. She is the Maknae, and the main visual. Shuhua is a natural beauty, as she doesn´t like to weare make up or nails she got hate for thet. But she is strong and doesn´t take crap from haters, she is really outspoken about them and calls them out on her VLives.

If you haven´t checked out these MV´s /Songs I would recommend the following: LATATA (as its their debute), HANN (Alone) (as Hwaa is a continuation of that song with Hann (Alone in Winter) in between those two), UH-OH (my personal favorite, it gives of a 90th HipHop vibe), Lion (the MV is amazing but so is their Queendom stage for it), Oh My God (Its an amazing MV) and all of there B-sides a great too!

Soyeon was actually going for historical essence when she made the song.
You guys were on to something with thinking that it's a double meaning. It's actually a triple meaning! Fire, flower, and anger. You can see that Chinese characters beside the title that reflects that.
This song is a continuation of a previous song of theirs called Hann. For the full storyline, it's Hann(Alone) --> Han(Alone in Winter) [this is the first song on the new album] --> Hwaa.
I hope this helps? This group is just so talented. Soyeon, the leader and rapper, wrote and composed these songs along with most of their discography. 2 other members also wrote songs for this album too.
As for recommendations, uhh, I'm a big fan of all of their stuff. It's hard to pick. I started seriously following them after Oh My God if that helps.

Hwaa means fire and flower the first two hwaa’s used in the chorus mean fire which is why the dance represents fire rising then the last one means flower which is why the choreo during that chorus changes to something more free like the spring giving birth to a flower

Andy nailed it with calling them Ice Queens, Fire Queens and Forrest Queens. That's basically the 3 versions of their new album: Winter, Fire and Flower! Y'all should check out Hann (Alone) that was released a couple of years ago. It's the first half of this concept. Hwaa is part 2 of that song. Hann(Alone in Winter) is part 1.5 if we want to be technical.
