I think maybe what people are missing on the Fields vs Wilson debate is that Fields takes ALOT of negative plays. A team that wants to win by running the ball and playing defense is not going to live with negative plays just because a QB makes some big plays. Russ takes care of the ball, he always has. Fields struggles to see the field takes maybe even more sacks than Wilson, fumbles and throws interceptions at a much higher rate than Wilson. I'm sure they've seen it every day in practice and it has definitely shown up in the preseason.
Anyone who wasn't shocked the Panthers traded away a haul to draft Bryce Young doesn't know a thing about football. Trading away the future for a guy smaller than Brees knowing that only a Brees level career is worth the trade and that Brees was an extreme exception to the rule of short quarterbacks is the dumbest gamble you can make.

I thought the Panthers should have traded Moore and Burns after they traded CMC in 2022 for the three first round picks that were offered for them and then just kept their 9 or higher draft pick in 2023. At that point taking a flyer on Levis would have been fine because they would have 2 additional 2023 first rounders and 2 first round picks in 2024 with the likely number one overall if Levis was as bad as Young.
