The first track being previewed off of The Friendly Tolerable Characters of Pompton Soundtrack is called, "The Lakes Remain" and is written & produced by The Cruel Earth, an act located in two different states, Florida and Riverdale, N.J.
Friendly Tolerable Characters is a historical documentary film about Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, a town located just off of Interstate 287 in the Northwestern section of New Jersey. The borough has approximately 11,000 residents and history steeped in tradition and pride.
The film is being produced by Silk City Films it will be released via a special Hollywood-Style premiere complete with a red carpet, paparazzi and all of the glamour associated with a film release. The event will be free for the public to attend and will feature a ceremony followed by a showing of the film that is 67 Years in the making.
The event information: The Elks Lodge, 15 Perrin Avenue Pompton Lakes, N.J. The Red Carpet opens at 3:30pm. The film will shown at 6:30pm after a brief public ceremony.
Writer, director and narrator of Friendly Tolerable Characters of Pompton, Paul Bastante, was quick to point out the vibe of the film is like none other that he has made in the past. "The Cruel Earth wrote this song and when you listen to it, you don't so much as listen as you FEEL it", Bastante said, adding, "I will apologize in advance for the fact that this song will be in your head for long after you've heard it, it is what creates a certain texture in a film like ours".
