"Even now, I can feel it. Buried somewhere deep inside. Watching. Waiting. But you know what scares me the most? When I can't fight it anymore, when it takes over, when I totally lose control... I like it."
What was amazing about Superhero movies back in the day was that every hero had an exceptionally high price to pay to be a hero. A price that changed them. Spider-Man's transformation in 2002 was painful, he had to sleep through it and then he lost his uncle Ben. Daredevil painfully lost his sight and then hus father. Hulk suffered abuses and the loss of his mother and father. And becoming the Hulk in a unique way- saved him. People rag on these films, but they weren't so literal back then. They were far more thematically rich and hopeful than the easy Ws that heroes pull today.
This movie is a superb commentary on the effects of childhood abuse and how it can be passed down generationally through internalisation, which often is the case. That’s his father grabbing him with that mad look in his eye. Unlike with Marvel cinematic universe, here-the Hulk is a parasite/maelstrom (sin of the father kind of thing) feeding off the trauma, dismantling Bruce in the process from within until nothing remains but it.
Came to understand about superhero films after watching "The Hulk" in my childhood. First super hero film I've watched. I was super excited with the film "The incredible Hulk" after watching it, but got really disappointed from the movie "Infinity war" till date 💔. Ruined the beast into a puppet show. Really disappointed. I would like to watch his rage once again 🔥.
Infinity War could've been his best but they of course had to ruin it with smart Hulk and not let Bruce tap into his full potentional Hulk which I got to say would've of been rewarding if used in Endgame correctly. They claimed Hulk was just as powerful as Thanos but the movies showed us otherwise😂
El soundtrack de esta película es bestial, es demasiado icónico, vi esta película cuando tenia 5 años y ese 0:22 sonido se quedo grabado en mi mente hasta la actualidad.😎😎
1 he get bigger 2 he get stronger 3 he get angrier 4 he get madder 5 he survive from bomb 6 he become a president of south America 7 at the end he was the hulk and his power still here
Hated this movie, but now I've come to appreciate it. I love it 💚❤ Also you can never go wrong with a score by the one of the #1 top notch movie musical scorist out there Danny Elfman! 👌
I remember being disappointed in this movie when I went and saw it in the theater. But over the last 20 years, I've grown quite fond of it. I think Ang Lee's Hulk nailed the actual Hulk perfectly, the way he gets bigger as well as stronger the madder he gets. He's also not malicious, which was something I disliked about the Edward Norton movie's Hulk. Between the two representations of general Ross, I prefer Ang Lee's as well. Like with the Hulk, he's not malicious, he's just trying to neutralize a perceived threat he has absolutely no intel about. Between the two Bettys, I find Jennifer Connelly's to be more believable as a fellow scientist. I prefer Norton's Bruce Banner over Bana's because Norton's physical frame is much closer to the Bruce Banner of the comics and he does a stellar job of channeling Bill Bixby's David Banner from The Incredible Hulk TV series. That's not to say that Eric Bana's Banner is bad, just farther away from the comics' Banner than my tastes prefer. I think he fits perfectly with and in Ang Lee's interpretation.

i totally agree with u. The Movies today are just focusing on special effects and less on the story.
What an under rated soundtrack!
Best OST till date...
The best Hulk movie
The best MARVEL movie
I'm glad people are still making videos about this movie. It deserves more attention
Danny Elfman's score in this movie gives me chills every time i watch this movie
This film is everything, soundtrack and trama, all perfect.
Best song. This is touch a heart

Love to hear you put something together using themes from the 70s tv show. Lonely Man will always be Hulk's definitive anthem in my eyes.

X2 amigo❤ y he estado buscando un vídeo qué tenga en bucle el primero minuto del tema y no existe😭
They don't make movies like this anymore.

This Hulk is better than Mark Ruffalo's Hulk...❤
Mark Rufflao was wasted all because Disney wanted to starve out Paramount.
Before "The Dark Knight" made high brow superhero movies cool, there was this flick

Best hulk movie ever....keep quiet
@rohandurant4870 2008 movie is the best hulk movie
¿What is the name from that appears? ¿A movie?
How is this movie "crap"? At the least, it's way better than how MCU represents Hulk nowadays.
@@swanihilator6748 its boring, bad script basically. Bad acting. Bad dialogues. No character is interesting. Hulk design is bad. I could go on.
