I have this same boat. I rarely have the daggerboard all the way down, even in heavy air. The wood daggerboard in the video is about 5 feet long, so what you see means there is about 3 feet below the boat, pleanty in the light air he's sailing in. Any more just creates drag, slowing the boat.
