    I’m new to your channel and caught this video from a few years ago. I’m hoping you did a follow up so I know if the cutting with the completely white or cream colored leaf survived and grew more variegated leaves.
    Amazing how many plants with healthy roots you got from the wet sticks!

    I think these are one of my most watched plants. Fun fun fun. Your leaves are HUGE. My plants were from stem cuttings about the size of my thumb. So I guess I am starting with baby leaves. Getting lots of holes and they are getting larger but no splits yet. That is wonderful you had so many cuttings survive!!! I adore my all green ones. Mine came from a seller in Hawaii bought on Ebay. Shipping was really good and packaged amazing!!! Came in sets of three rooted cuttings and I think they were $40.00 for the three last spring.

    I purchased a epi pinnatum albo node 3 months ago. It did nothing for a few weeks, then slowly put out a single thin root, and that's it so far. I've had it in moss the whole time. My question is should I put very diluted fertilizer in the moss? Does it need leaves first? I really want it to turn into a plant, but after 3 months and one little root I don't know if it will.

    • @PeggysPlants
      @PeggysPlants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Plants don't benefit from fertilizer until they have a root system. I would leave it alone until it has more roots. As frustrating as it is, sometimes plants take quite a bit of time to grow from a node. The fact that you already have one root is a good sign. I wouldn't disturb it in any way and recommend you keep doing what you're doing. Best of luck!

    I was just gifted a wet stick for one of these! I've never propagated one before and wanted to ask - it's about 4 inches long and one node is sprouting roots and a leaf and the rest of the stem has about 4 more nodes. Are my chances higher if I chop it up? Do I run the risk of killing the node that is already sprouting? Are my chances better if I just leave it alone? Thank you ~

    • @PeggysPlants
      @PeggysPlants  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally, I would chop it up and put it on some damp moss in a ziplock. However, if you want to be on the safe side, I'd wait until the rooted one is more developed and ready for planting. Then, I'd chop up the rest. Best of luck with whichever route you decide to take. It's a beautiful plant!

    Thank you for this video! I'm having a bit of trouble with mine. I think my issue was that I put them in soil too fast and has been slower to take. It's been about 6 weeks and I have not seen anything yet. The leaves still look healthy but nothing is actively growing. It's also Nov so I'm hoping the plant is just a bit dormant vs unhappy. I'm considering transferring back to sphagnum to encourage more root growth but don't want to stress the plant too much. Any thoughts on this? Right now, I have it in soil, it has 2 leaves, the indoor temp is 70 degrees and the humidity is about 60%. It's in a shadier section of my West facing window. So I'm trying to be careful with giving it some light but not too much. Thanks for any help you can provide!

    I have Cebu blue and another epiprenum pinnatum that is also known as "dragon tail plant". It has really shiny dark green leaves. It's supposed to develop fenestration but mine has yet to do so. But it's really a stunning plant anyway.

      Sounds like a beautiful plant. My Cebu had been doing great for over a year and has recently decided to start dying off. Hopefully yours will decide to produce fenestrations in the future. Happy growing!

      That shiny epipremnum pinnatum might actually be a Rhaphidophora decursiva. They’re also known as dragon tail and are very very very commonly mislabelled as epipremnum pinnatum :)

      @@peggysnail4899 I have a decursiva as well. I don't think this is the same plant. It doesn't seem to have the "creeping" habit of decursiva. But I probably won't know for sure until it fenestrates (if it does). But I definitely know what you mean. They seem to be confused a lot here and mislabeled.

      Kyra D gotcha!! Congrats for actually getting an e. pinnatum, haha. This has been my pet peeve lately. Hope you get those fenestrations someday!

      @@peggysnail4899 Thanks. They look so similar and then I see a lot of other e.pinnatum for sale that look very different. So I don't know! I try to just enjoy it for what it is but I think most of us have an obsessive need to know the true story.

    Any cutting for sale ?

      @PeggysPlants  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm afraid not. I traded a couple already and am not sure I want to let go of the remaining ones, although I know I don't need then all. They are so highly variegated and each one is different. Yes, I'm kind of crazy. LOL

      Asean Plant Exports and Greenspaces ID. I had some issues with the transactions. Here is a link to a video comparing the two. th-cam.com/video/uLg_T1XNl8A/w-d-xo.html Hope that helps.

    Hello everyone :). Maybe someone owns this plant and can tell me how stable the variegation of this plant is? Is it like a monstera where you see it in the stem?

    • @PeggysPlants
      @PeggysPlants  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, this plant is an epipremnum, not at monstera. In terms of the stability of the variegation, I really don't know, but am sure you can probably find that info somewhere on the internet if no one can help you here. Thanks for watching.

      That is correct. It is not a pothos.
