I personally don’t think that locking up the products had anything to do with race. I believe that those specific products were constantly being stolen, and because of the loss of revenue; that would be reason enough to lock up those specific products. I’ve walked into many stores where the body wash was locked up, the deodorant was locked up, skincare LOCKED UP. So no, I don’t believe it’s a racial issue. It’s a theft issue, and the products that are more likely to be stolen, are the products that are going to be locked up!! Is it an inconvenience for many of us that don’t steal?! YES, but I understand. There’s been many times i go shopping for a specific product, and the shelves are completely clear of it (obviously stolen), so honestly it’s just a lose/lose situation.
People wanna defend racism soooo bad. She wasn't allowed to touch a 50p comb that she wanted to purchase despite being followed to the cash register....that tells you everything you need to know. She had to ask someone to unlock it for her AND had to be followed to the register AND despite being followed she wasn't allowed to touch the item because???
btw if you complain about the items you buy and support the pink tax then let me tell you, you could actually spend less and don't buy the thing, the reason why men spend less is because they are simple to the stuff they buy, they'll legit use a lotion body for their faces, which is why some are crusty asf.
