- Added some text commentary in this video for my go-to build that can brawl well with the current curse staff meta. Very versatile against many builds if played correctly.
Build (costs around 400k) - Tier 6.1/7
Spear (Mostly using cripple in almost all fights)
Mistcaller or Torch offhand
Guardian Helmet
Assassin Jacket (Swap between invis/shield)
Leather Boots (for refreshing sprint)
Omelette
Healing Potion
Music:
Risk of Rain 2 - They might as well be dead

how to you usually handle fire staffs?
Fire staves are heavily countered by using deflecting spin against them. I'd say it's almost impossible to lose that matchup - as soon as they use any ability on you, just use deflecting spin. When it's on cooldown, use your jacket reflect, then use deflecting spin again. During the jacket shield, you can damage him enough to win the fight
Wow! I thought curse counters spear, this video showed otherwise.

It did but he had no stacks so it lasts very little

@@Anagh250 Q1 on curse staffs is an auto attack and it's single target so it never missed.Does good damage.Does good post damage and stacks easily with low cooldowns.Making it broken to use

And the fact he ratted back to third party and the curse was using Q2 instead of Q1. You can see at 6:00 he barely suvived despite the enemy having dismount cooldowns at the start of the fight.
I had health pot up, his E just popped, I was 0 stacks, my E was available. "Barely survived" is a bit off :) Anyway, in mists you have to learn which fights you can take, and if that curse which was 200 IP above me had Q1, I would have not fought ;)
@@samfragment302 yup I think it's because he want to use guardian helm at the last limit to ensure the killing blow, it was a smart advantage because no mage would use protection skill.
@@KyotecYT I guess my point is not that didnt play well etc. It is the fact that your 'counter build' would still struggle against a fair fight curse. Curse is too strong.
