  • Hello everyone :) In today's video I'm showing how I achieve my blonde hair without using bleach.
    The products I'm using is Wella Koleston Special Blonde.
    20 grams 12/0, 10g 12/81, 7g 12/96 and special mix 7g 0/81
    Double the developer 30 volume, 9%.
    You can of course use Olaplex with these products :)
    Cold water closes your hairstraws properly and your hair wil look shinier for longer :)
    Hope you enjoyed! Please leave a thumbs up and subscribe for weekly videos.

    So basically this is like bleaching hair but just not using bleach? So color and developer only? Isn't developer also damaging to the hair or is that just the bleach??

    Hi Viennah.. i'm dying to have a blonde hair, but everytime i go to salon, they are saying i can't use bleach because my hair will be damage, i have a flimsy hair, thin.. so they just dye my hair into copper brown color..
    Is it okay to use same what you used Super blonde color and developer for my hair to make it blonde wthout using bleach?
    And what is the ratio i can use coz i have a long hair? I think 1:2 is not enough for my hair..
    Thank u for the response in advance!

      Hi Anne 🤩 As a hairdresser myself I don’t understand when some hairdressers say they can’t use bleach on thin fine hair, I have thin fine hair myself 🤓 What I would do if I were you was to either find another hairdresser or talk the one you have into adding some highlights (with bleach and use 13 vol developer), then add more and more until you get the blonde hair you wish for 🤩 it takes a long time, but the safest way for sure so it doesn’t break. Once you’ve got blonde hair you can definitely start using special blonde to remove your roots 🥳 remember between each highlight appointment to add proteins to your hair, make it as strong as possible and use hair masks at literally every wash, the stronger your hair is the better it’ll handle the process 🤗 I wish you all the best and good luck 😘

      @@ViennahI remember it going well.
      Now I have another problem you may be able to help me with. I had highlights put into about 2 inches of new hair growth. The colorist put a toner in my hair that washed out really quickly. I decided to retone my hair using T18 and it turned my hair purple.
      The hair that was lightened is purple and my 2 inches of new growth that was not lighten is gray. I have tried using DAWN liquid soap and put a heat cap on it in hopes it would pull the purple out but it didn’t. If I do a bleach bath my natural hair color will lighten and I will be left with hot roots. I don’t know what to do! Do I just re bleach all of the new growth until all my hair is one color and then retone with a neutral toner? Please, give me your advise.

    Hi Viennah! I am so happy to have found your video. I want to go lighter without using bleach (been there, done that, hair was horribly thin afterwards). I have been to numerous hairdressers and all of them are telling me that I cannot go lighter than 2 shades with colour and that I have to use bleach if I don't want to be orange/yellow. You prove them all wrong!
    I have similar natural colour to yours (also fine hair), but I do not want to go cold blond as yours. More golden/sunkissed - like koleston 12/0. Can you recommend if I should still do a mix of different colours? I presume you are adding the cooler tones to avoid brassiness? Or should I just put 12/0 on its own?

    • @Viennah
      @Viennah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, sorry for the late reply :( If you mix 12/1 instead of 12/0 your hair will become ash (greenish) in color. You set the base with using 12/0, that's why I use that first and add 12/81, which if used alone will turn real purpleish, so the 12/0 "neutralizes" the color and makes the base :) Hope I explained it okay :D

      First I need some more info about your hair, so it doesn't turn bright orange hehe 😄 what's your real hair color and have you been bottle coloring it red for a long time? The most important thing when you wanna go blonde is to know what's underneath your current color so it doesn't break or spots/areas with different haircolors :D long or short hair? :)

    • @tonyabible7982
      @tonyabible7982 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Viennah OK, so according to this color chart I am a dark blond/light brown re-growth. I've been dying my hair red for about two years now, and I have about 25 inches of hair, maybe 1/2-1 inch re-growth. I don't use bleach before coloring due to my hair being light enough to soak in all the color. I use Gold well topic cool reds 6RR max(dramatic red) ( 120 grams) 1:1 with goldwell 6% 20 volume developer

      Aww it won't let me open the pics, so I can't see your color :( Are you planning on doing it yourself or at a hair salon? :D Even though I can't see your hair, I'd either recommend starting off with highlights to see how blonde you're able to get your hair and the quality after (that it didn't break), also when you wash your hair now, I'd use pretty warm water to rinse out as much color as possible, the less color residue the better :D 2nd option is color remover, you'll probably have to cover it up with a cold medium/light blonde to even it out :)

    Did it itch or burn when it got on the scalp?

    • @Viennah
      @Viennah  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Angel Denise It doesn't burn or itch when applying, in the middle of process you can feel it sting some, but far from as much as with bleach 😁 And it's only for a few mins then it's gone :) I guess it depends on how sensitive the scalp is, but it's a lot better for your scalp compared to bleach 😀

    How much developer I have to put?

    • @Viennah
      @Viennah  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You mix special blonde with 1:2 developer, so one part color and 2 parts developer :D Sorry for the late reply!

    well you mixed all the neutralizers possible so so there was no chance for any warmth :) u used blue, green, violet and blue'violet. One thing. instead of using 12.0 and special mix 0.81 you could use just more of 12.81 so u could have 2 tubes less to mix

    • @Viennah
      @Viennah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When you add 0.81 you don't put more developer, which means you get a colder tone with adding special mix compared to more 12.81, that's why i like to add special mix as well. Ofc it would work without it as well, but I want my hair to stay as white as possible when the roots grow out :)

    • @user-mu3dr2dz4f

      Where's the green? /0 is neutral, /8 is blue, /9 is violet and /1 is ash and /6 is intense violet

      Green is mat and its number 2 in wella. And 1 is ash which is blue-green, 8 is pearl which is blue.

    I wanted to ask why you put double the developer instead of mixing it 1:1?
    Thank you

    • @Viennah
      @Viennah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Becker! I'm so sorry for the super late reply! Special blonde from Wella is supposed to be mixed 1:2 developer, 1:1 is far too strong and your hair might break :( Also the color is very thick, don't think you'd be able to spread it properly without mixing it 1:2 :D

      Shampoo of your choice :D Ofc shampoo's that rebuild (repair) is highly recommended after a lightening process, but what's most important is conditioner and mask to keep your hair as strong as possible :D If you wish to keep it cold in color, a silver shampoo works amazing! Good luck :)
