Im from Chicago and lived in Japan for 7 years.....I backpacked through Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines.....Ive seen 3rd world poverty like you can't imagine.
I recently and temporarily returned to Chicago and my jobs consists driving through the Hoods of Chicago including O-Block.
All I can say is I can't wait to leave this city and return to Japan.....I would even choose the slums of Manila than to live in the South Side of Chicago.

I remember growing up I the OG’s from my section seemed like they were untouchable, I am 37 now. By the time I was 19, they were all either dead, in prison with exception of maybe 2 or 3 of them. I got all the way out the way by the time I was 22, best thing I ever did for myself.

It makes me appreciate life so much more and my awareness is heightened. Im from chicago south side Roseland west Pullman.
