Matthew 1:24-25. 24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
Joseph and Mary had “normal” marriage relations (as God intended) after the virgin birth! That’s what Scripture says.

The word is being used to point out the virgin birth and nothing beyond that. Similarly to how you would use the word "until" in the sentence "take care of yourself, until we meet again" you aren't implying that they ought not take care of themself after you do meet again, the word is being used in reference to BEFORE you meet again and nothing beyond that. From north California, Sandra, Im sorry to hear about your discomfort.. never give up on prayer, reading the Holy Bible, or praying the Holy rosary..I was shaking ' in terror' during the whole time that I was reading the Old Testament in the Bible, about 4 yrs ago. Then, the night before the Campfire (deadliest in the state's history), I was inspired to start reading the Holy Bible again. I was tired and stopped after 3pgs., after the IIne where Adam and Eve just got kicked out of Paradise. This was the last thing I did before I fell asleep. I woke up with my husband announcing that he got an evacuation warning text on his cell, and that we have to evacuate. .it wiped out 90% of the town of Paradise.. Talk about being kicked out of 'Paradise'..Needless to say, I was afraid to read that (or any) Bible for about 3 mos. My husband did not make fun of me for this and neither did he push me to start reading it when I wasn't ready, though he did tease me and told me not to get us kicked out of Paradise again..I pray this helps you in some way.
I got a chance to go to Medjugorge in 1989. The pink rosaries with silver medal that I had bought in Las Vegas and brought with me-the medal turned golden during the Divine Mercy prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament. At Mass in the crowded church, I felt very honored that one of the priests when it came to distribute Holy Communion, came and brought Jesus directly to me. I was overjoyed with the Lord's kindness!
In Luke's Gospel we hear St Elizabeth exclaiming that Mary is the mother of the savior & St.John the Baptist as a fetus jumping for joy in the presence of Jesus as an embryo carried in Mary's womb. We are who we are from conception.

It is only in CHRIT JESUS that you must place your faith. Mary was a creature and she herself needed a Savior: (Luke 1:47) And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. God does not give His glory to anyone else because He alone is GOD (Isaiah 42: 8) I am the YHWH: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Please friend read the bible and know your God. To grant glory to someone other than GOD is simply idolatry and idolaters will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6: 9).

Dear beloved of my heart, the Church has always maintained that private revelation is not something that we need to concern ourselves with. My goodness I just pray that we all have love and peace in our hearts. Everyday temptation seeks to make us fall by implanting seeds of all kinds. It isnt easy to walk as Christ and forgive those around us that fall. It is so easy to take our eyes off our own character defects and find fault in others. It is HARD to stay silent when we are use to speaking our truth, it is a real discipline I have been working on. May God in his mercy forgive us all our defects.

I think it’s hard to speculate when stuff is going to kick off because we can’t see the big picture. God’s probably trying to gather all his chickadees into the barn before he starts up his thunderstorm, like in Matthew 23:37. Probably a couple chickadees still out there that he’s hoping to get into the barn first. Maybe that’s why we have our delay.
Yep. Delay is a fruit of God’s mercy. In soccer term’s though, I sense normal time and extra time are over and we’re in the final moments of injury time prior to going to penalties!

I've been To Medjugorje 4 times Fr. Mark. It's hard to explain, Father, but it's like ther's some kind of "Electricity" in the atmosphere there. There were things that happened me there, personally, which I won't get into, but I found out for myself that what's happening there in Medjugorje is "Very Real" and I believe that the Revelations made there by Our Blessed Mother, Will come to pass.

I wouldn’t expect the natural laws of the visionaries lifetimes being a driver here. However, there’s a certain fascinating alignment with the mid-60s’ apparitions in Garabandal, Spain. God in His mercy is allowing everyone time to repent and reparate for our sinful actions.

It helps me to consider that the "war" is already over, and St. Michael the Archangel has already cast satan and all the other evil spirits into hell. We're now just playing out Time, and all we really need to do is remain faithful and bring everyone we can reach into a closer relationship with God. Since I'm worse than Moses at evangelizing, my effort is in corporal works of mercy and penance, primarily physical suffering.

I too believe that we are too close to the secrets been revealed . Our lady of Medjugorje was one of the reasons that lead me from Islam to her son Jesus Christ and her messages taught me a lot and made me fall in love with Christianity .

I too was so impressed by our lady of Fatima and her messages when i was a Muslim . I pray for all Muslims and all people to believe in the Lord Jesus and our mother Mary whom they truly respect maybe more than Protestants .

Thank you Father, for your love of our Faith, and your bravery and commitment to bringing the faithful Christ's truths. Medjugorje however has seen one of the seers claiming that Our Lady said that in her Son's eyes, all religions are equal. Surely that is enough to discredit this apparition?
Mother Angelica put it well. Whether an apparition site is true let's let the Church decide. We hear message that Our Lady calls to repent and change, pray especially the Mass and Rosary, do penance and live a life of Christian Virtue and Faith. I would also add embrace the Divine Mercy Message and Devotion- same thing.

The prayers are based on Scripture. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is Biblical. The prayers call to mind Jesus's Passion and Death.

I have had experienced the strong scent of roses when praying the rosary. One time when I was in a troubled situation, I was driving and all of a sudden the scent of roses filled the car.. I said to my mother "do you smell that?? Wow!".. she said,, well i was just praying to the blessed mother and a rose was shown. I myself do not get visions but my mother did occasionally. She is definitely not the type to tell stories or make these things up. Some others included a larger divine mercy image that appeared when we were in a bad situation and also with padre pio who is not only a great intercessor but likes to joke. Powerful saint... another with st gabriel who appeared just as scene in images as a cherub. Believe it or not i don't care. , she was definitely not insane or schizophrenic.

I am a bit hesitant on Medjugorje.. However, I am always amazed at how many conversion stories I hear we're a result of that site! Something going on over there

I’d advise looking into what the local bishop said when Medjugore started. There are too many odd things about Medjugorje.
Just because something has some truth in it, doesn’t change it is a lie.
Her book addresses that and much more. Strongly suggest it. My heart will triumph. You're going to the source when you read her book. Not going through all types of false attacks that, for the record, every private revelation experienced ESPECIALLY St Faustina's.
Read about Fr. Michel Rodrigue’s experiences and visions of the Queen of Peace BEFORE he even visited Medjugorje in 1990 and during his stay there. He convinced me, I also doubted Medjugorje before.

As told by Frano Zubac who is from Medjugorje, one priest, who has since passed, told the Bishop of the region at the beginning of the apparitions…”So Satan is the one telling us to convert, to go to mass, to read the Bible, to pray the Rosary and to go to confession? Praise God Satan has converted.” I believe this priest’s words shed such light on things. I believe in Medjugorje without a doubt!
I don’t expect to sway any minds, and I am admittedly not an expert in all things Medhjugorje, but I do want to share a couple points for consideration.
The messages that I have seen say more than just to pray the rosary, read the Bible, go to confession, etc. What may seem like a good message can most assuredly be a falsehood of the devil to bring you off the path of God. If the devil came out and said, “don’t read the Bible or go to mass”, he wouldn’t catch as many souls as he would with a near truth, or a statement that leads to confusion and misunderstanding.
Another point for consideration. Fr Ripperger mentioned in a talk that some people can be so drawn in to reading, studying, watching religious things that they are consumed with it, and feel frustrated they don’t have more time to devote to it. This is not of God. But why would the devil push you to do these holy things? Spending all your time immersed in religion pulls you from fulfilling the other duties of your state in life. It’s something in excess, even though the “thing” (religion) is good. I don’t explain it near as well as Fr, so if anyone is interested, I strongly suggest listening to the video.

I just also think that the things of the devil don’t last for very long (which is said in the Bible) plus Fr Gabrielle Amrouth who was the chief exorcist for the Vatican said “ Medjugorje is a fortress against Satan. Satan hates Medjugorje because it is a place of conversion, of prayer, of transformation of life.”
I believe in Medjugorje based on the good fruits and how it has brought me to love Blessed Mother and with and through her Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament far more than I ever did before.
Yes I spend more time on these things but this brings to mind the recount of the time when Mary was at Jesus’ feet, Martha was upset she wasn’t helping her and Jesus said Martha, Martha one thing is important and Mary is doing right. So I don’t feel bad getting immersed in reading God’s Word in the Bible or praying as Our Lady calls for in Medjugorje more than doing things in world.
If the church finds error I will submit to it, but I don’t feel bad for following and believing in Medjugorje for it has not moved me away from Jesus, from God, but only brought me closer and has helped me to handle things in life with more peace and confidence that Jesus is with me it will be okay.
So even if Medjugorje is found to be false I will be thankful for the good fruit it has produced in me. Jesus did also say only good trees can bear good fruit not evil.
Just some points I ponder and bring up when people question me about my belief in Medjugorje and give most valid points against it.
I don’t want to force people to agree with me I just want to give them points from the other side to ponder with their points against. Always good to ponder both.

@@cartooncat4580 in a way, you could say Medjugore (however you spell it) reminds me of the census that David had his advisor Joab take of the people, and it was revealed how Satan actually put the thought into David’s mind in 2 Chronicles as a way for David to count the Israelites as his people rather than God’s people. Reading the Bible, going to Mass, confessing your sins are all good that should be done. We can’t neglect prayer, fasting, and almsgiving though. Does any of the prophets in this apparition mention these three?
@@MissPopuri Yes the Blessed Mother specifically said in almost every message to pray, fast, convert, do penance, pray for our priests, go to confession, seek peace, receive the Eucharist. Satan can counterfeit even the image of Our Lady and encourage people to receive the Eucharist but one thing he will not do is encourage people to go to the sacrament of Confession. He doesn’t want anyone to be absolved of their sins. The lines for Confession in Medjugorje are amazingly long and anywhere from 10-25+ priests will hear confessions in many different languages all day long. The people stand in lines outside, for hours sometimes, waiting their turn to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. There is no way Satan would do anything to encourage that. But, even if the messages and apparitions aren’t real, God is doing some mighty work there! God always honors the efforts and intentions of those who are seeking Him. And millions of people for 40 years have been seeking God in Medjugorje.
