    This is BY FAR the best 981 air filter tutorial on TH-cam. Really helpful. It's only after this video that i think i can do it myself next time. will save a LOT of money actually :D Greetings from Germany.

    BTW, those bigger black zip ties work the best to remove the filter.

      @@JordanPayneLV thanks! I'm super excited, been wanting one for ages. It's around the same mileage as yours and pdk 😀 I was happy to get it for under 45k the way prices have been soaring lately!

      @@micraw714 I hope they keep going up so I can get the best trade in for it when I get the new 400z. The 981 has been a fantastic car for me but I’ve had it for over 6 years now, time for a change :)

      @@JordanPayneLV Absolutely, it seems as though they're finally following the appreciation trend of 911's. Even the 987's are climbing to mid high 30's! The new Z looks like it'll be a blast 😃

    Hi Jordan, what's is the mileage on your 981? I'm about to purchase a 2014 981 PDK w chrono package, PASM suspension... for 40k w 80k miles... so I was wondering what you thought since you have one. thanks brother for the vids, they will come in very handy.

      Congrats on looking for a 981! It’s a great car, mine has 74k miles so very similar to the one you’re looking at. I guess it depends what options you’re interested in but I love the Bose sound system upgrade that mine came with and the cold weather package is really nice if you live in a colder climate. (Heated steering wheel)
      Aside from that they are great cars. I would find out if the door panels have been replaced under warranty, they Have a reputation for delaminating, mine were replaced under warranty. Also inspect the headliner, they used the same glue on the headliner and it may be coming loose around the sun visors. Last I would ask when the battery was replaced. These cars require a fancy battery that lasts about 5 years but once when you need to replace it, it’s about $450 and needs to be done at the dealer.
      Let me know if you get it!

    How often should we change the engine filter?

    • @JordanPayneLV
      @JordanPayneLV ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ideally every 10,000 miles 👌🏻

    Do you think that is better the BMC with the same length as the original one or the shorter k&n? Thanks in advance

    • @JordanPayneLV
      @JordanPayneLV 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think either the BMC or AFE will offer more filtration but the K&N definitely lets more induction noise out of the intakes. It’s up to you to decide what you want. I’d probably go with AFE next time

    hey bro you need to grease the parts (in let rubbers) before putting the filter back on...basic stuff you should not miss

    • @JordanPayneLV
      @JordanPayneLV 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine still had grease on them from
      Previous jobs but you’re right I forgot to include that in the tutorial
