    Northwest Arkansas is really growing
    It’s definitely a bustling city you would think that Bentonville or Fayetteville is the capital over Little Rock. Central Arkansas is going through some issues which would be crime and job opportunities the cities that are a really great areas to live in would be Conway , Maumelle and Benton. Heads up central Arkansas belongings are locked up in some Walmarts. Maybe I need to try northwest Arkansas been hearing great things and a lot of improvements

    I don't know if you remember my comments from California. We moved, finally, to NWA in May. We love it here. But traffic is surprisingly bad. R. airport blvd and Walton are always cluttered. In that particular intersection, I see accidents at least once per week. Car registration and driving license were easy. Applying to social services for the elderly was easy. Changing my MFT license from CA to AR is difficult. Gas is 50% cheaper, and food is 15% cheaper. But the best part is utilities. Our first bill was 90% less for water, gas, and electricity combined. The restaurants are great. Nature is beautiful. Birds are so beautiful. Also, I hear that AR is not diverse. In my neighborhood probably 70% Indian population. Overall we love it here. People are friendly.

    • @LivinginBentonville
      @LivinginBentonville  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I suppose soon enough, you will learn what roads to avoid and what surface or Backstreets you can take it to still get you to your destination without sitting in “traffic”. You would have to agree….It’s nowhere near as bad as six lanes of deadlock traffic :-) I do remember your comments. Where in Arkansas did you end up?

    • @oksusha2000
      @oksusha2000 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LivinginBentonville - I already tried to respond but something went wrong. You may get two of them. You are right about the roads. I still drive here with a navigator. I live close to R.Airport b. and Bright. The Walton /R. Airport b. the intersection is scary. I like that drives on the road are mainly patient. When some are not, I make a joke that they are from San Jose. I love the food here. We eat out every day in a new restraint. We walk the dogs every evening and enjoy the sunset view.

    • @LivinginBentonville
      @LivinginBentonville  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you for your input. Truthfully, the cost of living across the whole entire United States is going up. And yes, more people moving to an area regardless of where they’re coming from is driving up prices as a desirable area will do that. Statistically speaking, there were more people from Texas that moved to Arkansas then from California in 2022. … Unfortunately, I don’t have a reliable source for Benton county data as to where people have moved here from. Thanks again for watching.

    We want to move from Denver real bad for all the same reasons you have shown. However as real estate appraisers, we enjoy very good business and are very busy. We worry there may not be much work for appraisers in your area. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

    • @LivinginBentonville
      @LivinginBentonville  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It seems as though on my transactions, appraisers do a fairly efficient job. however, I don’t know how well that speaks to how busy they are or are not. You might give some a call here and ask them directly how busy they are. One would tend to believe with the anticipated growth in the area…there would be plenty of work when you get here :-) why not hire someone to cover your business in Colorado and open up business here?

    What about mega or mini churches on every other corner in Arkansas. One of my biggest concerns. Is there freedom to believe or more importantly not believing and having religion pushed in my face. Please comment on this issue

    • @LivinginBentonville
      @LivinginBentonville  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are certainly a lot of churches in the area. Arkansas is most definitely located in an area of the country called “the Bible Belt”. However I cannot recall the last time I’ve seen or heard about someone preaching hellfire and brimstone with a megaphone anywhere. You may get asked however, “what church do you go to” versus “what do you do for a living.” “The Bible Belt studies show that Religion seems to be a stronger social norm here than other areas of the country. Does that help?

    Just wanted to let you know I'm from Arizona. Californians have utterly destroyed my hometown let alone the state. I realize that there are plenty of good people from there who are escaping the nonsense but yet they still drag it with them where ever they go. This would be because along with the good, the bad follows right along. Be it the three strikers, people with voting habits that don't jive with the local community, congestion, crime, aggressive driving and last but not least, driving up housing prices that no local can afford. I could go on.
    Do everything you can to make sure any incoming Californians are well educated on how the people of your community roll. If they don't want to assimilate, encourage them to move on. Especially the smaller towns. Don't say you haven't been warned.

    • @LivinginBentonville
      @LivinginBentonville  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good afternoon, I appreciate your input. I find it more often than not the folks that are moving here are trying to get away from that type of nonsense you had mentioned. However, my code of ethics and the integrity in which I operate my business, I cannot and will not discriminate in anyway. Not that you’re asking me to necessarily discriminate, but I do know law of attraction that like attracts like, and your vibe attracts your tribe… People can feel or sense when they are not wanted or when they are welcomed. You are not the only one who has shared this type of concern with me. But I do appreciate you watching and your input, my friend.

    • @robertshipley6990
      @robertshipley6990 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just want to make a couple points. When demand exceeds Supply prices go up. I think around 1776, Adam Smith, John Locke, sir Alfred Marshall and a couple other guys gave birth to that concept- got it in motion. So I would hardly blame Californians for rising home prices.
      Secondly, our US Constitution and I think it's article IV and the 14th Amendment ( I'll have to recheck ) protects the rights interstate travel. Free movement. So stopping Californians at the Arkansas border, sending them to re-education camps to pass a litmus test how your community rolls, and if fail, encouraged to leave,might not bode well.
