why can't we directly write:-
S--> aA/bba/A ?

Why unit production for S->aA/B is S->B and not S->A ?

Unit production means only a single variable on both LHS and RHS. S->aA/B can also be written as S->aA and S->B. If you carefully observe S->B has single variables on both LHS and RHS and S-aA has a terminal and a variable. That's why S->aA was not taken. Hope this helps
