I’ve recently started playing red dead 2, and watching this tribute as well as Arthur’s. My heart feels heavy, with the bond they both had, the lives they lived. Watching both of them and playing both of them in red dead, I feel as though they are brothers.

Man my eyes got all misty, truly there is something about this game that stays with you long after, it’s surreal. Truly the best story game in the history of all video games ❤
This song is about John marston this tribute shows that the sad thing about rdr is not Arthur’s life but john’s life he was raised as an outlaw believing the things that Dutch told him is real and that’s all he knew but after realising it’s all fake he tried to escape and tried to live a honest life but fate was brutal to him and caught up to him and made him kill his old gang members and then finally he died but jack also became the same thing John Arthur and the gang feared he became a killer later he had a happy ending but the thing is all the hard sacrifices and the deaths all gone to waste the sad things is that John tried he tried to leave the outlaw life and he tried to be a good man but yet fate damned him and he was killed he couldn’t live happily he worked hard and finally built an honest life thinking it is gonna last then Edgar shows up and destroying all the sacrifices of Arthur and John and the sad thing is arthur died happily knowing John is saved despite dying he saved John but the sad thing is his sacrifice was gone to waste so john’s story is the saddest thing in the planet

I relate alot to John especially cause of Girlfriend problems and being misunderstood and hated for past mistakes and because I get in trouble with cops and can't escape the trouble it follows me
The way on how the epilogue connects to RDR1 is incredible which is exactly what this song highlights it is symbolized many times that Jim Milton and John Marston are 2 different people (even tho they aren’t) great edit overall and I think the song choice was brilliant coming from a guy who has completed RDR1 and completed RDR2 2 times on my 3rd play through as I post this
John marston needs more recognition nowadays It’s a tragic story that 50% of Red dead redemption fans haven’t even played RDR1 Even though people were so exited for RDR2 because RDR1 and John marston was so iconic. John marston went from the greatest protagonist to the most over looked because of all the new fans and it’s very annoying
