Jordan actually didnt say it disrespectfully to the coach. He was once a young rookie who tried his hardest and because of the experience seperation from his rookie skills compared to more seasoned professionals he of course would sometimes get hard opponents to defend. He recognized that Ray was actually following game plan and was basically just slower because he was less experienced not as conditioned and not as fast as the 10 plus year professional he was facing. He probably wanted the coach to shut up because Ray was actually giving good defensive effort each time and felt the coach wasnt coaching at that point but just picking on him. Jordan a stand up guy on the court.

Glen "Big Dog" Robinson was the first guy to get a 100 million dollar contract. He was like that.... He just had no help on that Milwaukee team.

History lesson: Glen Robinson was the #1 pick in 94’. Jordan was drafted in 84’. So that why he says he grew up watching him.

IamTeeski I have to correct you on one thing tho fam, you said they were around the same age when Glen Robinson said he grew up watching him. Mike was in his 30’s and Glen was in his 20’s so at least a 10 year gap. Rookie MJ was 21 so Glen was probably 11 maybe 12 watching him so yeah he grew up watching him.

(liked comment) Those MFers are CRAZY!!! I played college basketball at 6'4" 230 on a modified diet because my natural weight is like 245. They had SKRONG MONSTERS PATROLLING THE LANE in those days HANDING OUT ABUSE!!! Muggs today really aren't ready to see that work!!! They're "load managing" with modified rules today.

I guess I’ll go first. For everyone who said that MJ pushed off in the finals, if you look around the 3:46/12:10 mark of the video, you will see him do the same exact move on Ray Allen. Ray Allen wasn’t as close to him as Bryon Russell was when guarded, and watch MJ’s left hand on the snatch back. Ray Allen’s momentum made him stumble, not a push off. Yes Russell guarded him closer and the same way Ray Allen stumbled, it’s that by him being so close to him, his hand did make contact on the snatch back. Anyone that has ever played basketball has done this move and real hoopers know, that left hand is a natural reflex when you snatch back.

11:33 yes. We can debate talent and championships all day. But listen to the guys who played against Mike and Kobe. They were sharks in the water. Apex predators waiting for someone to challenge, or make the wrong eye contact. You couldn't show fear or disrespect or you're getting 50 dropped on you, and most likely embarrassed on the other end.

Robinson is almost EXACTLY 10 YEARS YOUNGER than Michael Jordan. So yeah when Jordan was a ROOKIE, Robinson was barely in Junior High AND College was NICE AF then!!! He probably watched him play at North Carolina 😐

I agree with that last statement. Jordan would fight you. Remember nobody's had a 3000 point season since Jordan. It's much easier to score today because of the rules. Waaay les physical. No hand checking etc. Still nobody has done it.

They were watching Jordan playing with him ,,all NBA players watched Jordon in the same game they were in wit him or when Jordan played others, Olympics, all star games, play offs games that they didn't make ,,,, they all watched Jordan bring the same age ,growing up in the league watching him ,,everybody knew about #23 and watch him,,the pistons studied and watched him so much , they invented " the Jordan Rules "( no other player in the league ever got that )

Glenn Big Dog Robinson is one example of dudes from the era yall know nothing about that kills the "competition " argument. If yall did more research, the league was loaded in the 90s.

Just a few names to explore: Allan Houston, Grant Hill, Latrelle Sprewell, Mitch Richmond, Kenny Anderson, Jason Williams, Stephan Marbury, Jamal Tinsley, Jamal Mashburn, Reggie Miller, Tim Hardaway, Chris Mullen, Tom Chambers, Larry Johnson, Vinny Johnson, Derrick Coleman, Ralph Sampson... plenty more. Sift through those and I'll throw out another 10 to 15 bonafide difference makers. Buckets, assists, rebounds you name it.
