    Hi Bobby.....these are excellent watches, very reliable and accurate, the battery lasts about 7-8 years and are replaced free of charge through Silvermans, i wore mine everyday for over 20 years until the post office lost it......a highly recommended watch, thanks for posting the video.

    Cool video. I'm after a bezel as mine knocked about. Any whereabouts they can be obtained?

      Silvermans in England who sell these watches appear to be a bit secretive about which Swiss company make them. The only thing I can suggest is to contact Silvermans and ask them if it is possible to buy a replacement bezel.

      @bobby2292 probably because it's a Chinese part.

      All CWC watches are manufactured and assembled in Switzerland, very high quality watches.

      @stefanobio7045 show me proof. And pointing out they say Swiss Made is not proof.

    Quartz due to better accuracy and easy to swap out the battery every 6 or so years? I know there is an Auto Mechanical version as well. I am torn between the CWC SBS and a Rado Dive Watch. Both look super. One looks lux and this one looks good for hard work.

      Purchase the CWC SBS quartz diver you will not be disappointed.
      Another excellent watch is the Elliot Brown Holton professional (quartz).

    If you have a threatening black watch you don't need to sneak up behind somebody :)

    Is the dial really tritium? Or the transition luminova but with T dial

    • @bobby2292
      @bobby2292  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My research tells me that this is a tritium dial. SBS diver watches were produced with tritium dials until 2013/14 when they changed to luminova. The SBS diver is produced to MoD specs for issue to the British armed forces. I think this is why they continued with tritium as long as they did. CWC did start the transition from tritium in 2006. I have read of RN diver reissue (polished case) T dial watches with luminova being produced as late as 2010. There must have been a lot of surplus unpainted T dials at the factory.

      @@bobby2292 thank you so much. Quite confused since saw another same ref from 08 also but owner saying it is a luminova. Hence was thinking 08 is transition. This piece is absolutely gorgeous Sir! I would want to get one similar to your model, I know it is discontinued. But if you know where I can get one please let me know. Thank you for sharing this video. Made me appreciate the time piece more

      @@krisjeremycarpio9898 I can't help you but good luck with you search. Finding that grail item is one of the best things ever.
      I think the confusion is with the dates. CWC along with the rest of the watch world began phasing out or stopped using Tritium in 2006 so it would be easy to assume that a watch after that date would not be radioactive.

      Hi Bobby.....
      Luminova holds it's luminosity longer than tritium, and it's brighter in dark conditions.

    These were issued but no longer! They are just too pricey and the mod moved on to a couple of other brands ! One being Nite another British brand at less than half the price of cwc! That being said the cwc diver was an issue watch and many have fond memories of them and they are a good watch to wear if not over priced?

    • @stefanobio7045
      @stefanobio7045 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Elliot Brown Holton is half the price of the CWC, and a far better watch.
      CWC are very good watches but far over priced for the specification.
