  • A lot can happen in 12 years, or not.
So has Nasuli Cold Spring deteriorated as some were saying? Have new developments overrun the place? Is it still as attractive as before? We wanted to find out for ourselves.
We got to compare Nasuli Cold Spring's 2012 and 2024 versions and see why it has become an enduring natural attraction and go-to site for fun and relaxation for locals and visitors alike who visit Malaybalay City in Bukidnon, Mindanao.
We planned a 4-day trip to the Kaamulan Festival last April so that we could also do several things in between, one of which was to go back to Nasuli Cold Spring, which we last visited in 2012.
We were still in the middle of a 2-month long drought and it had turned vast areas of green grass to earth brown so the lush greenery and cool waters of Nasuli Cold Spring was a very welcome sight.
We also got to visit my niece who manages her uncle's cattle ranch apart from her family's horse ranch. With her daughters, we went to Lake Apo and Suarez Hill and had lunch at Cowboy Town, which fits right into this cattle province.
This episode is actually part 3 of our Bukidnon trip:
Part 1: Kaamulan: How a K-Pop girl group and a movie gave birth to and inspired a thriving food business.
Part 2: PANALAWAHIG: Have you ever seen a Filipino indigenous ritual? / 2024 Kaamulan Festival highlights
Hope you also check them out!
