This is a great video! Im also from eastern canada (newfoundland) and also have one of these guitars, except i have the metallic red. i find it to be a pretty nice guitar, its help up very well. ive upgraded the pickups and electronics via a preloaded pickguard so far, and am working on replacing the nut and adding strap locks now (waiting for it to arrive). ill also probaby replace the bridge and tuners at some point. Maybe ill also strip mine down and refinish it! anyway, thanks for making this and have a great day :)
Awesome - greetings from NB! These old Tursers are fine guitars - great for upgrading and modding. I'd love to see the results of your guitar refinish, and curious to see what wood you find under there!
It took about 8 hours total - mostly because I chose to go with the heat gun and scraper, to preserve most of the undercoat on the face of the guitar. If you do a gel chemical strip, it can reduce your time to just a few hours - however, a chemical strip will get rid of everything including the undercoat.
Looks great
Ok that was really good!

How long did the stripping process take?
