I was the original owner of trx250r.net and sold it when my company got busy (or atleast i thought it was back then 😅🤣) But ya man. I love this quad- and would like to make every piece of it to keep it alive
I love this aluminum subframe, aluminum arms, cr500 linkage, modern yamaha type technology but with trx250r geometry. This will be next level. These arms will work alot better than than any other normal quality arms are heavy. This is the type of stuff honda would be doing if they still made a 250r.
looks great so far, supper excited to see the finished product you guys come up with. the only thing id like to see after this is a three wheeler frame next.
This is next level. Thank you for your continued desire to further improve the aftermarket options. I will say the narrow frame plus 4 a arms seems to be more popular and sell faster than the typical wide front plus 3 arms. Regardless this is huge. ❤❤❤❤
Got me interested! Was never really a quad guy, although i thought these were cool back in the day. This sort of foward thinking is very cool and truly excited to see this thru. On a side note, very interested in a quad conversion these days.
Please tell me that was a gray primer on the new swing arm (I know it's not but.) Gold would look so much better, retro TRX if you will. Great idea with a new BVC frame! Keep it up! Really glad you're back with the videos!
Wow i always wondered how they design the frames...its amazing to se how you worked on the chassis and design your own... Hope to se more of you designing the framework and finishing the 250R. Like your kontent must say specially the 250R
Lol i know right?? The dream setup? Actually is easy to go narrow - might look at a few options on the spindles as those are interesting to make 😅 but yah it can all be done
Great to see modern design thinking for a classic great quad design, If you build these frames people will buy them, we need more builders pushing the limits with new ideas, the big off road companies are missing the boat with no new sport quads. In the 80s they brought out the odysseys and people had little interest in them, fast forward to now when everyone buys SXS and no interest in sport quads, not sure what happened with your trike kits?? Thought that would make a comeback and be next to craze again ?? in a few years probably be roll reversal ?? Everyone will want sport quads again since price of SXS are outrageous, so looking forward to seeing the finished prototype
Another thing I noticed I’m sure you all ready know you could design them arm to fit the 400EX as well with very little work since the 400EX arm will fit the 250r with the correct spacers
I know you guys mostly do Honda bikes, and don’t get me wrong I love Honda and all the bad ass machines you create, but an adapt an LT500 engine to a LTR450 frame would be a cool thing to create?
The 250R was/is in the top 2 or 3 best quads ever made.... But, you knew that... If you could get the cost down to somewhere reasonable for the average schmo.....
Thats why im going billet most of it all with minimal welding- as the labor cost to build a frame Only issue is im using 300k + of cnc machines to do it 🤣🤣. Its just one of those pcs that cost alot to make
@BVCOFFROAD I know... I'm not even saying it's not worth it. Quite the contrary... if I could afford it I would have ordered one of your Xr650L 3wheeler kits when you first started offering them. Hell... I still might... just gotta sell a few of my project cars... maybe one of my kids...
Please don't use the stock linkage. I've always had poor performance and a "bucking effect" when casing. After watching Gennusa's channel and seeing Spader hit the whoops 5th gear pinned, I'd say go with a similar roll design no-link or a modern linkage design. A narrow front would be nice aswell. The stock bottom frame rails are quite thick and I feel limit some of the quad's travel. Is there any way to engineer the whole bottom frame rail as a thinner design for more ground clearance(allowing more travel without hitting the ground) or perhaps even lowering the engine in the chassis even more? I'm no engineer but just throwing some ideas out there for you and trying to improve on an already great design with your exp and modern tech!! My 1986 frame has been welded from head to toe :( and is older than me haha Also the cr500 engine has no counterbalancer and its low tech tbh. The panthera 600 i was told was shipping the end of june. It is a full on modern big bore with all the bells and whistles.
I am a die hard fan of the 250r. Honda really made a great quad in 1986. It’s awesome to see that you have a passion for this quad.

I agree - and the last 5 yrs i have been trying to find time to get back to my original obsession which is the TRX250R
We need someone like you as a community to do this for all sports quads. This is so cool #savesportquads
This is going to be a awesome build, Im glad your sharing your dream 250r with us
You and me both!
This is great! I’ll be ordering one once they’re available.
Awesome. Grew up on 250R’s and still love them. Definitely appreciate the videos.
So cool!!!
Thanks man i grew up on em too so it feels good to get back to it
This is awesome would love to have one

Thank u , i honestly could go narrow frame easier than oem… esp the way i plan to make the billet pcs Maybe ill do both options?
@@BVCOFFROAD Even better. Win win for all 🤙
Thing will be sweet can’t wait to watch this process come along would love to have one one day
Definitely worth learning about and building- hopefully these vids help more get into the 250r

Great original content. I look forward to following along. I'll watch 20-30 videos on this effort :).
You guys should make billet rear brake fluid reservoirs!!
I actually started designing ill post a video and see what u guys think
Awesome man
Put me down for one! I would love to add this to my 330r I just built on my channel
That sounds great! Email me your info or sign up on my email list and ill keep sending updates out
@@BVCOFFROAD will do thanks bro. I've been wanting to work with you guys on one of my builds
i want to start a big bore motorcycle / dirt bike company the is really helpful to me and my endeavor
What if i said absolutely not bro
@@perkg2423 ok and
dream big man - you can do anything if you put your mind to it
I love this. I wouldn’t mind if you went more in depth and showed the entire process
i will try!
Love it!! I follow most of your videos anyways but this extra stuff has me hooked, keep it coming
More to come!
It's a really cool project. Ever consider possibly doing the welded sections out of titanium?
This is so exciting. Now if i can just hit the lottery so i can place a bunch of orders lol
pretty bad ass. im throwin a billet cased 380 together for my 88...i need to mess around with fusion now.
💪🏼its great to learn this trade even if you draw your own stuff - and a machine shop can program/cut it for u
Thank you.
You're welcome!
narrow front , cr500 linkage. Leager, T-pin front a arms spindles just as suggestions

Yes. Yes. Yes.
Been watching since 1743 og fan here

A good Parts idea= engine mount kit and/or components to install panthera/cr500 into atc/trx250r?
I agree which is why i am making it fit the cr500 too

Give yourself more room in the carb/ intake area. The stock is super cramped

Is there any way i could purchase those files off you for the 3D scan of the frame & motor?
We can work that out - you actually gave me a idea as i have ALOT of scans , cad files and more…
@@BVCOFFROAD Thanks, I would definitely be interested in that! I’ll send you an email using the contact form on the website. Thanks very much

Do a Yamaha r1 quad
😅
I had a 03’ R1. Loved it. I would prob love it more as a quad
Honda trx700 was better. Cold you put more triangles shape tubing couse square sucks
I can't hear anything
