The TPR-955H/TPR-955C boombox is from Aiwa's 1979 model year lineup. In Japan it was called the CS-80. It sounds fantastic, and it's one of the benchmarks for boombox sound quality. It measures 490x370x130mm, weighs 6.7kg without batteries, and has 16cm woofers and 5cm tweeters. According to the service manual, the minimum output is 2 watts per channel, and the maximum is 5 watts per channel. That might not sound like much, but remember that most companies lied and inflated their numbers. Trust me when I say this Aiwa really delivers in sound quality, and sounds better than most bigger models. The frequency response is very broad, and the clarity and detail is top-notch.
