I never had a Blizzard childhood, so I can't relate to the downfall of the company. Though I am beyond happy there's people that cover bad games and enlightens their audience before they buy it, and then there's people like yourself that elaborate on the fall as you've been apart of it since the beginning and can share where it was good and why it's bad now. It's fun hearing people nerd out on a passion whether it's positive or negative. I guess this would be being passionate on the game. Keep up the good work.

I don't play COD or Diablo but when I saw that Lilith trailer originally I started laughing so hard I couldn't breathe, and having had Covid recently I actually honestly believe I almost injured myself and could've died. The trailer itself isn't even really funny it's just so ridiculous, and the one of my friends who's into COD still had this face like ":|....." and that made it worse.
I went and checked on the Call of Duty channel. The like/dislike ratio is lit, currently 3.5k/9.7k on a 100k view video. Oof.

I pre-ordered the Ultimate edition of D4. I thought the preorder mount in WoW was kinda interesting. I can't even remember why I refunded it l, maybe some moment of "wtf did I do this" lucidity, the game wasn't even out yet. But man... now I feel like Neo dodging bullets in the Matrix.

Nothing short of a miracle and complete reworking of Blizzard as a company will save it. I don't see that happening sadly do to the size of Blizzard as a company now. It's so bloated and filled with greed. As painful as it is for some of us to accept, we have to realize that the Blizzard that people grew up with back in the day is dead.
The only way not to fall for this shit is dont buy day 1, dont prepay. Wait and see

Played the demo of the first Diablo; never really wanted to buy it. it gave me the feel of being a bit too focused on acquiring, sorting through, and enhancing random loot items; there's nothing necessarily wrong with that kind of mechanic, but the "treasure gacha" being basically free didn't make up for it not being fun for me. ...Still, it was free. When I heard the game series was going online, my immediate reaction was that since they clearly weren't going to get rid of how the gameplay cycle worked, they'd never be able to keep some variety of monetization out. So I was unsurprised hearing about the intention to make an official "trading item area", and was entirely prepared at a later date to hear the people now in charge of the series wanted to go all in on the monetization.
That Cod segment had surprisingly strong GMod vibes, which is just sad

I just hope Microsoft puts some sense into these companies. I kinda hope that with the failure of Redfall, Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 this will encourage Microsoft to force these companies to make better quality games instead of buggy micro transaction simulators. I love all consoles and I want to see Xbox do better.
Microsoft has proven time and time again that they cant manage development studios, I wouldnt get my hopes up.

It ruins the emersion for both COD and Diablo fans. Fortnite decided to dwell in such collabs as its gameplay and graphics is more cadual, but COD is more focused on realism. Realism and Diablo characters holding guns doesn't work together.
