That looks great! I love all the interior work, stairs, control rooms, balconies, garage...just all the things you'd want in a base. Thanks for sharing the progress.
Yep if I was Hasbro bro I would be re releasing the new and superbly transmuted"cinnamon" terror dome, even Snake Eyes contact lenses are having trouble mapping out the Draco's ingenuity...🤓😏⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😊👆👆👆👆🍻
Wow! This is pretty wild. I thought of card board too for projects like this, but wasn't thinking real world with struts, for structural support. I want a Flag & Terror drome. Maybe Joe HQ & a Cobra mountain base. I really like Destro's Iron Grenadiers too, so a MARS base & Castle Destro would be nice too.
Awesome work in progress love the improvement s you made over the original retro version. I know its not as good as the original but your creativity in substituting some parts is impressive looking forward to any follow up to your Terrordrome build!🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍😎😎😎
...immensely smart work! Tremendously detailed! Thoughtfully designed! I tried to upscale the measurements of the original one for 1/12 scale classified figures and build it out of foam core. Failed heartily...This amazing video inspires me to go again! I see what you did there with "Cobra Hilton"...The HISS garage is so good! CLAW crane is what did it for me.
Thank you very much. It's very sturdy and and has some weight to it. Making the walls like an actual building with studs in them not only makes them stronger but makes them have the thickness like a real structure. This was a lot of fun to day dream about and build. Consider cardboard instead of foam.
That's really awesome bro! Tons of great ideas and details I wish had been part of the original. Prices being crazy for them now, thinking of building one myself. Hope to see more of this project and your others as well.
This is really impressive! Love the details you added. The sliding doors is just genius. Can't wait to see this bad boy painted. Have you thought about selling plans? Not only of the Terror Drome but some of your tanks. It would be cool if you did.
Your work is amazing! Have you ever considered doing these projects with polystyrene? It would be more expensive, but the strength and durability of the structure would make these projects last for a lifetime!
Im very familiar with it. You would be surprised how strong and sturdy my pieces are. Nothing is flimsy like you may think. Cardboard just speaks to me when I create. It's also very forgiving as a medium.
Very cool man! I think you did a great job. Your project is very creative. I recently saw another person on TH-cam that made a U.S.S. FLagship out of wood! It looked pretty cool too. I am curious to know did you use a 3 d printer for anything on your build.
yep! this thing is all kinds of wonderful! a - if it was my creation, I d call it terror drome 2 steam roller. because this one rotates, and has all kinds of improvements. b - it s ecological. it s made out of all things people ordinarily trash. cereal boxes, and other types of cardboard. c - while I get the 80s tech concept, I would nt limit it to that. those round things could very well be some kind of advanced laser discs. d - I know it s extra expenses, but home hardware has a pipe dept, and there s also a pipe toy bucket product you could probably find. those could be very practical for cannons, but also hoses hanging next to the ceiling. star wars scenes have that, it looks high tech, and add detail. since the structure is round, you could buy those flexible hoses. if the walls are light grey, [my guess] blue, yellow, or red pipes would look fab. e - I had a concept in mind that might apply here, clear plastic containers, like a coffee brand pot, you glue the cover to the ceiling, and add coloured stuff inside the pot. anything green, blue, yellow, ect, like shampoo, or dish soap can do. you then screw it back to the cover, adding lights near produces a scientific atmosphere. liquids add to the texture, as does the transparency, it looks cool, and original. I was surprised to see the extra firebats, I did nt know these were sold separately at one point. I really liked the pictures of the different parts of the building process. it totally rocks to see the framing involved. the claw crane is done with extra care, I would nt have done the piston, but it really adds to the realism. the cobra logos are impressive and look accurate, they re not easy to reproduce. the thickness of walls allowing the doors to slide was my next phase in construction, I smiled when you demonstrated, and you re right, it looks way better. extra ideas, I used the fruit nets to simulate capture nets, they scale nicely. you ll often find them for oranges or lemons. adding round shapes to the walls or ceiling could add detail and texture. cutting pill containers, or shaving container covers. making rockets out of tubes, machine guns from cheap army toy kits. adding led lights to the ceiling adds atmosphere. transparent containers provide nice clear windows. ok, I m out of ideas, hopefully it will help you work your imagination. good work, and good luck bro!
Glad you like it. That's a lot of great ideas for the upcoming detail work ahead of me. Painting will mimic the original with some distressing. I'll also do a better video with help of people who know more about it. It's a big pig that commands respect and an outrageous amount of time.
Beautiful, just beautiful, loved the working piston in the crane. Mind if i ask you a question? how do you work with cardboard and avoid the warping (it bending) when applying paint or glue?
I use gorilla glue gel. Drys fast and applied in reasonable amounts. I do use Elmer's glue is some instances for large spaces or something I need to not dry to fast so I can manipulate it
Bro you gotta paint and decal the thing and you got one the greatest play set bases of all time or better yet start 3d printing the peace's you already made and make the whole thing out of the same plastic as the toys
It actually is painted. Like the toy. I just needed a break from working o. It. Dought I take on a big subject like that again. It still needs dental pieces, computers, control panels, ect. Take a glance at the sgt Slaughter Equalizer im doing now
