I have EOD and I have been playing PVE only. I cannot stand the gigachads and hackers that ruin any attempt to play.

I did enjoy PvP but sometimes when I don't have alot of time it just feels like a waste playing PvP because you just cannot progress properly
my issue is that i missed the EOD bus and didn't really get into the game till this wipe. unheard is my only way to get gamma and stash.

I miss old DayZ Mod in Arma 2, Vanilla and Epoch modded. It sucks that DayZ Mod is dead now, if its not dead then its the super modded servers that just have everything, which isn't fun. I like the more slower paced survival aspect where you don't know your map position and have to use the environment and in-game signs to figure out where you are and how to get places. No bicycles, no starting with a weapon, use the stars at night to navigate, etc. That game doesn't exist in DayZ Standalone because its impossible to find cars or helicopters that vanilla DayZ Mod had. If that server exists then its EU or AU because NA servers for standalone are rare.
DayZ Mod was elite. Much preferred to the standalone.
Lets put it this way. I've been playing Tarkov since October of 2016 when I bought EOD originally for I think $149 while I was on a deployment. 8 years later I really dont feel to bad about giving them another 50 bucks personally. To counter my own arguement though, they charged $150 for a game that they've never actually completed and released and now are charging MORE for what was suppose to be " the ultimate edition that gave you everything collectible and you wont need to give us another dollar "
EDIT : I also forgot the fact that I had to buy an EU version when I had to move to Germany for a few years and my US version wouldn't work while I was there. SO come to think of it, if I do buy UNHEARD then they get my $200 plus whatever the EU key was, I think another 30-40? Yea thats lame AF.
Then again spending $30 a year on a video game isn't to crazy considering all the subscriptions and how easy it is to spend $30 on microtransactions these days and get little value.
you're still supporting bad practices tho, thats what makes the difference people like you signal to Publisher/Devs that you are ready to spend PREMIUM on a beta just think about it if everyone does it, it will be normalized and in the future everyone gonna cough up atleast 100bucks for a freakin Game.

The Unheard deal sounds bad to many of us but the fact of the matter is there will always be people who see it as worth the money. Some people live in completely different worlds and circumstances. BSG has the freedom to charge what they want and people have the freedom to spend what they want. No stopping it.

When I first watched Lvndmark, I expected see an average American meathead, but he is so level-headed. The start of this video is a great example of it.

I havent played this wipe but ive played at least 5 wipes and have 2000 hrs which is sad but considering i paid 150 dollars for 2000 hrs of playing a game i truly truly loved and enjoyed i dont think people are understanding the value in that even if i paid 250 and i got 2000 hrs thats beyond worth it. Most single player games are 70 dollars and u get 25-150 hrs depending on the single player game on it so if u do the math paying 250 dollars even if u get 1000 hrs which most people i die to usually have. If u only have 50-200 hrs then ya its probly not worth 150 or 250 but not many people have that few hrs playing tarkov i feel its rarer to see low hr accts then high hr accts.

PVE mode saved this game for me. Still challenging enough without having to worry about cheaters or people who have WAYYYYY more time in the game than me so i have a lobby full of bosses.. i know that this game isnt designed for the casual gamer, but i was a hardcore gamer that turned into a dad, so i think PVE is a perfect fit. Its awesome.

So that first kill on Tony in the video looks really sus, but I assure you all, I was on the other side of the tree to Tony's right when he came down the hill. At 2:55 you can see me coming up on the right side of the screen. I just barely saw Tony's legs under the tree leaves before he woulda seen me. I did go on to decimate Shturman and 3 more PMC's with Tony's SVD. GG's

The reason you only see UHE players in Tarkov now isn't because everyone upgraded its because everyone who was EOD who didn't appreciate the scam quit the game

Not a single one of my rl friends who all have been playing for 3 wipes minumum, me since Reserve drop, and I will never touch it again. If it were a solo incident, yeah maybe, but BSG has made so many infuriating decisions since my time playing this game I know no matter what they promise, what they give, what good patches they start putting out like crazy to get people back, as soon as they are happy with the amount of returned players it will go right back to them doing the bare minimum until the next disaster then repeat.

i hate comtac 4 only because my character is so loud in them i can't hear anything else could be the volume settings on my end but either way using other head sets are better and cheaper so don't fix broke if it somehow works out.

My take on it is that all the EOD edition players just stopped playing. Or at least a majority of them. Unheard just broke the camels back, lots of friends that played religiously have left and are not coming back. 150$ for EOD that was supposed to be "the biggest edition that unlocks everything, you will never give us another dollar". Let us not forget we almost did not get Arena with EOD, access being granted in waves was terrible. Not to mention the Unheard disaster. all for a game that still has never truly hit 1.0 release. I've seen games fail over worse, and to be honest that is what the current state of Tarkov looks like. Armor rework was a flop! It literally is only downhill from here, the only support they'll get is from new interest and people that missed EOD and still want to play thru the game. Once that gameplay loop is completed, good luck retaining them.

I got EOD thinking it was going to be a long term game I can come back to, and I mean I had my fun with the game. Im nothing special in Tarkov, but I realized there were tons of hackers from the beginning... and thats why I left.
They are the only ones left playing that game.
Im having 3k hours in this game and i just play PVE now, even if its braindead. I cant be bothered with micro transactions, 250 dollar editions and a whole nation of cheaters.
And people always go back to costums because its the best map. Best extracts. Best PVP zones. 2 possible bosses. Currently raiders and free tank bats.
Streets is arguably better in every way. The reason everyone is on customs atm is the event.

not many video games I have played for 5yrs online competitive and only spent $300. I only have EOD, but it makes sense why people do it. Lets not forget all the people that pay to win by cheating in this game.
Honestly $300 for a game I've spent over 2,000 hours in wouldn't bother me.. Look at a lot of these games, Last of us. Recognized as an amazing game won tons of accolades.. Can beat the game in 15 hours and 100% the game is roughly 25hrs I'd say but it was around $50-$60 at launch and the remaster is $70..Thats over $2 for every hour i've put into the game.. There are loads and loads of games that are $60-70 that you can have beat in less than the time than the cost of them..
I stick by a for every dollar i spend i need at least that many hours in the game or its not worth the money.

Slight variance to the more expensive headsets. You get 2 meters more. But at 14-15 meters for budget options. No point to run 300k ears.
Yeah ComTac 4s aren't in a tier of their own anymore. I'd still say they're the best statistically, don't know why LVNDMARK specifically doesn't like them though. But you can run expensive gear and not be throwing your kit away if you run M32s or Sordins now.

I've played DayZ for twice as long as I've played Tarkov, I only paid 25$ for that when it first came out and now they're giving away their DLC map for free. So no there really is no excuse for BSG to be doing this, it's a scam period.
GTA 5 has been out for 10 years and I have been playing for 7, I have spent the grand amount of 35€, AND ALL THE DLCs AND CONTENT IS FREE!!! Crazy concept am I right? Btw the next gen updgrade was 10 bucks, if BSG had something like that they would have you buy the game for 200€ again😂😂, they are scammers, period.

AI is pretty easy and predictable atm.
The loot is all yours and it’s boring easy.
There is literally no thrill in PVE.
SPT you can modify AI to make it more realistic and change the amount, etc.

Most Unheard players are EoD upgrades or new players. Most dedicated CoD players buy a $120 refresh every year. EFT probably suffered a loss of what maybe 5k players even that I still doubt.
