    On this week's episode of TheFallenState TV, host Jesse Lee Peterson is joined by Charleston White, the founder & CEO of H.Y.P.E., Helping Young People Excel. In an at times outrageous interview, Jesse delves into Charleston's background and his mindset while growing up, and what led him to catch a murder charge at the young age of 14. Charleston explains his former belief that going to prison was how you proved you were a man. They discuss the true impact of fatherless homes and the increasingly problematic depictions of black culture and family in the movies and media over the years. They also tackle political current events, race relations, faith, black history, relationships, and much more. Viewer discretion is advised with this colorful and unpredictable interview-you don't want to miss it!

    • @chili40m
      @chili40m ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hurting people are some of the most miserable happiness people on earth. Given the fact, as strangely as that may sounds. In other words, rather looking for happiness under someone else's expectations or under society expectations. Those with misery rather create happiness rather bettering themselves from a mental state. Therefore misery loves company. Not necessarily means they actually want a companionship to growth with. But to emotionally hurt another person, becomes their form of happiness. Some people's excuses are afraid of becoming happy, because they are too afraid of being disappointed. Therefore misery is a state of condition. Which is very unfortunate.

      its really AHHHHHMAZING how REAL and truthful and funny charleston is... like i used to pick up clip here and there and mostly other ppls opinion of what he said but when i started watching the actual source and tapped into all his content he's only going up imo... and i gain wild wisdom that i could never even predict or understand on some random CW video... even this interview, i been watching alot of CW latey and i seen JLP many times too so i assumed it would be a certain type or way it would play out but this shit BLEW MY MIND... he really do be playing characters and pushing ppls buttons just cause its funny but this was a real caring side of him that kinda made me a forever fan of him, he need to get more and more support like he said around him to build that new wave of culture, cause its not just the black community that can prosper from it... i
      m 30yo white dude whose parents got divorced and grew up with a single mother and the same shit that made sense and opened your eyes to the "WHY" it totally did for me too. my generation just like he talked about grew up listening to gangsta trap rap and hiphop was the popular music for everyone, shit i remember when the CD burner kid came into class one day and the 3rd song was CRANK DAT within 4 months it went from like a handful of ppl even knowing one word to the ENTIRE school knew the lyrics perfectly and we all would break out dancing that shit... at our HC/prom dances it had to have been played like 5-10 times... but yeah i remember even tho my school and city was never that dangerous or hood but we had like 20-25% black ppl in our high school so to even fit in as white kid with everyone and them as well everyone listened to hiphop, but the real ones listened to GUCCI, WAYNE, TI, JEEZY, YOUNG JOC, WAKA, etc... shit that was the sub system era, blow out your eardrums shit lol... but i always figured being around ppl that loved gangsta rap its like years and years of listening and enjoying but its not even nostalgia for me cuz i love the old stuff we grew up on but love new gangsta rap too especially the super hood shit like KODAK, DOLPH, GLOCK, BIG MOOCHIE, DUKE DUECE, im from TN so gotta rep the M lol...
      Charleston finally found that puzzle piece I was looking for about why I love it so much... shit ppl to this day try and talk shit by asking like why you like that you not from the hood or you not in a gang... shit the one i hate the most is ppl acting like i cant listen to this shit cuz im WHITE mannnn foh with that shit, im a grown adult i will listen to whatever the fuck i want to... but yeah i get it now, i grew up with limited father figures in my life... and my relationship with my bio dad was rocky and now after this year what happened im never gonna talk to him again and its his fault so... i been doing this life shit on my own... fuck i need a daddy that cause me stress and anxiety every day for? thats me channeling my inner CW shitttttt he gonna be my new replacement forreal... if i couldve had him as a dad growing up OMG the shit i would be doing in my life right now would never have even crossed my mind but its like he said, you really dont know no different because until you see something from a new side or perspective, what you been doing or going thru is NORMAL... like i tell my girl all the time, we both grew up in dysfunctional households but we only figured that out when we went to other kids houses or relatives or just watched movies about good families, to us if we never saw the outside world and diverse shit we would literally think what we grew up with was normal and that is exactly what we would pass on to our children, not even in the subconcoious accidental way but literally would take pride in passing these traits down to them because its family and culture at that point... thats one thing we both strive for day to day and just when we do have kids and we both wanna adopt too from all the fucked up family situtions just buy big ass piece of land and have the dopest kid and teenager shit for them to do and literally at that point all your kids raise each other and you can sit back talking shit and dropping knowledge but also going out and having fun too. im sure i will catch myself and struggle changing into what i really want to be in life but one thing and we tell each other this ALLLLLLL the time, the bad experiences and examples and way our parents were with us made us suffer even years after things stopped shit will probably die still with some of it but that shit will make us THE BEST MOM AND DAD those kids could ever have, its really the one reason i knew she was the one cuz i always told myself that im gonna be the best daddy to my kids anything they wanna do im there 25/8 supporting them, they ever in problem im bring a whole set of crips to kill a person lol, nah fr tho like i never felt love from my father shit even my mother and i hate each other, i see parents out in life at the store or wherever and they yelling at them or hitting them or putting them in these complex thought situatoins that even as adult i go bruh im 30 and i would talk back to you then or wanna run and get candy or throw a fit cuz you promised me somthing and then punished me for asking about it... WTF like he said they fucking kids with undeveloped brains... im just now starting to get mine working normal from the mental abuse my mom used to throw at me and thats 10 YEARS later...
      anyway sorry for the wall of text but i saw your comment and just started typing and had to get all that out... its important we do that sometimes cuz the more ppl know about others life experiences i feel like CW was preaching that in this video that we will grow humans and not black/white/etc... if you or anyone reading this made it this far and need to vent or talk feel free to hijack this comment or message me saying you want to and we can find another chat place, hope life is good for you man and you get to the things and places you dream of, we all deserve it!!!

He has the right to say and feel the way he wants and if someone can't take it they have the right not to listen... Some of the things he said that others have highlighted in the comments gave me chills and some brought an authentic tear to my eyes... I pray for peace, love, and prosperity to him and his community and he is bullseye 🎯 on the culture being the biggest problem and not the people!!! As people we are in a "Fallen State" which makes us weak and undeserving of Grace so the power of a culture can be overwhelming when that's all we know!!! Charleston White made this a great interview! He was full of truth, he didn't sugar-coat, nor did he disappoint. I wish him nothing but success in the honorable work that he does for the betterment of impressionable and vulnerable children who are in dire need of positive direction where there is none. Kudos to you, young man!
