I'm just a normal everyday lady who feeds friendly wild foxes and squirrels that come to my garden. Under no circumstances am I trying to tame them as pets or allow them into my home. I am also NOT a fox rescue service. They turn up of their own free will. Being urban, food isn't always easy to find, as not many areas for them to hunt, so I like to try and help them a little if I can. They are not totally reliant on me and haven't lost the ability to hunt for themselves. I will give them medication when needed for mange, infections, and pain, but that is under the close eye of the fox experts 🦊
ChipChip, Cookie, Jimmy, Pip, Daphne, Ringo, and Howie are the seven regulars that arrive most evenings. Basil hasnt been seen since the end of November, just as mating season started 😪 But I live in the hope that he'll return one day 🤞
Biscuit, was the first fox to befriend me back in 2021. Unfortunately she passed away Sept 1st 2023 and she is sadly missed by everyone who got to know her 😢❤️ I'd like to thank The Fox Angels Foundation and Second Chance Fox Rescue for all the help, support and advise with trying to help Biscuit. And the continued support they still give me. I can't thank you guys enough! 🦊🥰
Kenny and Norman, my two cats can be seen from time to time, plus there's Dave, the streetlight 🤣 Random cats, and not to forget the squirrels! ❤️ Plus, there's the badger! and sometimes a hedgehog!
Magoo is looking good and Simon likes to play thanks to there auntie Debs ❤❤

Good morning precious Simon and Magoo. Oh yes I loved seeing what mug you were using today and how you had it 15 yrs that's so neat. I'm really glad the cubs are enjoying the tunnel and the octopus so much. I love their little noises too. 🦊🦊♥️♥️ And you've got a fox on your lap, you lucky fox lady! 😮🥰👍🏻
I feel sorry when the Cubs are set free with so much Human connection. They have to relearning to live in the wild. Hope for the Best for Them.
They will have to develop some fear of humans eventually. Can't be having them walk up to humans, because some consider them pests and might try to hurt them.
They have already developed that fear of others. If I have friends round, they actually hide and are very wary. They will revert back to being wild, once they're mixing with the other foxes ❤

Both sooo cute… would it be lovely for Deds and us and of causes foxes ..that… when it come for them to be released back into the wild ..they get released around Deds area… then we would see them visit debs 🙏

Summer in Sweden today.
I went for a superfast swim. 7 degrees C in lake. It was awful.
But i am a viking.
Swam a few metres. I didnt freeze afterwards.
This lovely summerlike weather will last a few days more.

Debs, if you're able, I hope you'll rethink releasing them into the wild. I personally don't think foxes raised by humans can ever adapt to life in the wild

I dont think Magoo can go to the wild. He is too fragile.
As foxes get older their personalities go through a dramatic change to make them independent and self-reliant. This is how nature prepares them mentally to be independent adults, in the fox raising community it is called the "October Crazies".
So while it would be nice if they stick together, and they might be relatively friendly if they run into one another in the wild, they probably won't stick together. They'll each try to establish their own territory to raise their own families.

Den mum you've really got your hands full with the babies. Especially now magoo is running round to. But hes smart and takes himself back to bed when he's had enough. Simon comes to play with you get a belly rub and cuddles when he's tired. And makes those cute little squeaks and wipers to tell you mum I'm getting tired. But I don't want to miss anything. Debs said awhile back that if it didn’t heal up, that it was mostly likely a birth defect. He’s managing so rescues won’t come out for that as they have little resources and need to use that for emergencies.

goodmorning Debs..what is that mark on simons tail?
Do you mean the black spot near the base of his tail? If so I think that's where their "Violet Gland" is, it's just less noticeable in many foxes.
Edit to clarify : The Violet Gland is a sent gland common in members of the Canid family (foxes, dogs, wolves, etc.). For some reason the Violet Gland secretions in foxes even glows under UV light!
Near the top, the black bit, is just the colour of his fur ❤

What’s the story with Howie and his bad leg ? ( haven’t been watching for a while)
He has a limp. It could be a birth defeat. No one will take him in as he's managing as he is. The trauma of being captured could kill him. So they will leave him be, unfortunately 😕
@@debs3289 I guess they have to balance the risks. As long as his condition generally is stable and he doesn’t appear in pain..
