Free Groceries?! - How you can get free food for your family too!

My husband helped volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center and they gave us ALL this free food. This is a good community resource to utilize. Look in your area for things called like "Food distribution" "Food Giveaway" "Food Tailgate" - Things like that generally don't require for you to have proof of income and everyone is eligible. It is nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. If it helps you feed your family - then do it!
Most communities do also have food pantries that you could qualify for but if you think you may be denied - look for those key words mentioned above. Check Marketplace on Facebook, sometimes I see boxes of food being given away from people who are just choosing a new eating style and are getting rid of the old, or its things that are still good but they haven't reached for and they want someone to use it. #groceries #dinner #dinnerideas #food #groceryhaul #largefamily #groceryshopping #household #largefamilygroceryhaul #momlife #freefood #fooddistribution #fed #eat

I go to a weekly food pantry once a week, and a Senior Day once a month. It definitely helps when your on a fixed income and raising teenage grandsons. I also show food pantry videos.
Great blessing for your family in that food gift! Maybe steam the broccoli lightly then freeze for future? And dissect the salads and freeze the ham bits? Just some ideas that may help!🙂

So, she displays her "free food" on her granite countertop. But.... the senior citizens "pushed it on them". Hope they enjoy the vacation. Wonder how they can "afford" a vacation?

I have actually told them we don't need any food, but as you know, the older generation loves to take care of young couples with children. It is a blessing they love us so much.

@sandraproctor854 if she has granite countertops she doesn't deserve food? Everybody needs a helping had. They have a large family. You don't need to live in a dump to have financial hardship. Your very judgemental.
