- On the latest Bulls Talk Podcast, K.C. Johnson and Kevin Anderson break down DeMar DeRozan’s sign-and-trade to the Sacramento Kings and his three-season tenure in Chicago. They discuss what the Bulls will miss most from DeRozan and assess his fit with the Kings. They also explore the potential for Chris Duarte in Chicago and if the two second-round picks acquired could help facilitate other moves. What an era! Three years, one first round loss in five games to the Bucks. Remember when the Bulls used to win championships. The expectations are so low.
What this deal means is that we will compete with the Pistons.....You all wanted change and now you got it.

@@balthorpayne You just rid of your GO TO scorer. And your best defender. And your best rebounder. Your defense won't stop a snail. You are going to have to play a faster pace to score but what comes with that is giving up more points. While still losing the team might be more entertaining.to watch if Giddy and the 1st round pick come through.
I don’t know if this deal is a win based upon the Bulls being able to get something from an UFA sign-n-trade.
Over the past 3 summers the Bulls has allowed (3) of its core players to reach UFA…in 2022 LaVine reached UFA and they gave him a max contract or he walks for nothing. In 2023 Vucevic reaches UFA Bulls gave him 3/60million or he walks…and now DeRozan reaches UFA and they participated in a sign-n-trade that gets Demar to Sac. Which I believe was more work on the part of his agent than the Bulls.
So in my opinion this isn’t a win, this is just the slow moving dealings and personality of this FO.
And don’t think players aren’t paying attention to this.
Hearing you say, “Lavine is now the face of the franchise” is a joke to me. I think it’s shifting directly to Coby as the face.
Me too kc 💯 i dont see why with our current roster why we cant get 40 plus wins in be in that 8th 9th 10th spot again
I wonder does the Bulls FO understand that if they go over the luxury tax now it’s okay, just as long at the end of the season they are under the tax.

They’ll get rid of lavine and the 2nd’s they got in the DeRozan trade. Give the keys to Giddey to run the point and It’ll keep coby and ayo’s development moving forward and give Patrick a chance to move into a main role. They gotta give Terry and Phillips and chance to prove themselves at this point
They are keeping lavine. That's why you signed him for 5 years.
And im sick of people acting like were gonna be some shitty defensive team now that Caruso is gone like shit we still got Ayo whos everybit as good as defender as Caruso just dont get recognition like he should, Lonzo back who is obviously a elite defender, Green elite defender as well, P Dub elite defender as well, torey Craig, Carter and DT who are all really good defenders too. Like we aint gonna be no slouch on defense like were actually still deeper then alot of teams on that aspect like really only teams that are gonna be better defensively prob without question mabey is okc, Boston, knicks, T wolves and Miami mabey but outside of that i really dont see anyone else better as a team as a whole i mean sure theres other teams with elite defenders but i dont think as deep.

What an great era after three years the bulls have a 9 game winning streak since 2012 they lost in the first round by the bucks in 5 games this is sad for us

Give DeMar’s agent credit? Ha! He should be fired for not reading the market right for his client & not taking the alleged initial offer that the Bulls presented, 40 mil/per.

@Scrbrd23 hof is individual award. It's what you do in your career. All the top 50 in scoring are in the hof. Not counting the players that's still playing.
