Not really, you can hear and see in this video why they threw him out. Unsecure breaks, wrong speeds, bad timing. Frontman looks very dissatisfied at some points, in first song even shakes his head and tries to give signals to drummer.
The fact these old guys have to get back on stage is a testament how sad the state of metal is at the moment. The 80s/90s were the pinnacle of the genre and hasn't been topped.

Personally, i think metal is in great shape right now, many awesome bands are out there. But yeah, i do look back to when i was in my youth, Priest, Scorpions etc whilst at school, Maiden and NWOBHM....then it all changed early 80's as the more extreme bands poured out in droves. I still find that time the most exciting, and i agree, those two decades spurned much that, i think, hasn't been topped
Metal is in incredible shape now, theres still great thrash like Municipal Waste and Toxic Holocaust, but it also seems that Doom and Stoner metal seem to be getting way more popular. Which is fantastic, bands like High on Fire, early Mastodon, Red Fang, Baroness, etc. are definitely keeping metal credible and alive

What a great Blast from the past! I saw these guys in concert so many times in the 80’s and 90’s and got the privilege to hangout with them a lot! Jason and friends would come into Garcia’s on 43rd ave and Encanto. I bartended there and later at the hungry hunter on I17 and Indian School! I miss Jason and all the guys! I hope to see them again

These guys played with pretty good speed back in the day. They have obviously slowed down in their old age, but they still jam!!!! I remember when Lombardo left Slayer for the first time, the drummer of this band was in line to replace him.
By the way,Weight has nothing to do with anything!!!! I was a heavy kid and have struggled with weight all my life!! I have recently lost 60 lbs and am in the best shape of my life. I am in an extreme Metal band named Blast Furnace and we are never too old!!! Its the state of mind you are in!!!! \mmmmmmmmmmm/

There was a band called Surgical Steel that played there a lot also, but they never seemed to get it going. They were more glam, so it's no wonder.
I saw Surgical Steel once...they opened for Krokus in a little shit hole bar near 39th and Indian School. I think it's an auto parts store now. I still think about that show every time I drive past it....'83 maybe?
