Thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback on the podcast, it was fun putting together a few topics to talk about in one episode so I'm glad you liked it!
It depends on the jurisdictions that you're selling in and whether you are a registered business. If you are a US seller registered in at least one state, you can use Printify's resale certificate tool to generate a resale certificate that will cover many states and stop the tax being added to your orders. Some states require you to use their own specific form which you can fill out and submit separately. I pay tax on orders outside the US because I'm not registered as a business outside the US, but I add the extra tax cost into my shipping prices for other countries because of this. Printify has a resource about taxes that can provide more information as well. printify.com/blog/understanding-sales-tax-with-printify/
@@PODinsights thank you for your reply. I haven’t registered yet as I wasn’t sure to make any sales and this is not my full time job. I had to increase my selling prices because I’m paying to purchase from printify and then Etsy charges me also for remitted taxes so my profit is super low. I’ll look into it. I see that prinfity has the 1 state and multiple states. I assume multiple states is what I need to sell nationwide? Thanks again so much, your channel is super helpful
Hey, i have an issue. When I put my design made with Photoshop on Printify (or on Printful) onto the tshirt, it seems blurry, compared to the original design quality. All the design parameters are fine (dpi - resoultion). Do you also experience that? Is it only occuring on the POD site, or will be the design on the shirt blurry as well when it is printed?
Hi! I have noticed this as well. Usually the sample photo that looks the blurry-est to me is when you click on the image from your main "My Listings" page on Printify. Bu the mockups that push to your Etsy account don't seem to be as blurry. And in my experience, it has no impact on the actual print as long as your image file sizes are appropriate and the indicated DPI is high enough. If the mockups being pushed to your Etsy account are still really blurry, you might want to ask Printify support if they can take a look, but for me the ones coming through to Etsy don't seem as bad. I hope that helps!
Remember to offer discount in $ and not %. We're getting 10% off on printful's cost and not sale price. 10% off on 20$ item cost is 2$ off. 10% off on 30$ sale price 3$. You'll be giving away 1$ per item from your pocket if you misprice the discount.
You're correct! The percentage off our cost does not translate into the same percentage off the retail price. You definitely can use the dollar amount option to make it match your cost more closely and that's a great suggestion, especially when the discount on cost is 10% or less. If our cost is discounted 20% or more, then you can also use a percentage sale that is lower and it gets you to a similar result (ex: Printify sale is 20% off, you use 10% off the retail price). Thanks for pointing this out!
Hi! There definitely are back to school sales opportunities in July but several search phrases peak on google between July 28 and August 12, so there is still some time to get listings out there. Generally June to mid-July is the time that you want them out there so there's not a ton of time, but there is still a chance to get new ones out there before the peak, especially if you promote new listings on your social media accounts, etc.
While here in the SW my kids go back Aug 1st, kids in other spots are going back in September. As a mom, I can attest to being behind the curve some years and getting things a bit behind schedule because of moving during the summer as a military family. So, I am still going to do the back to school angle.
Very helpful video. New subscriber. Please make more content about printify and recommend printify providers
Loved the podcast format this week, with what’s new in the POD world and new in your shop! Thanks for always putting out great and USEFUL content. :)

Amazing content. Thank you so much. Love from India.
Thank you!
Super helpful info! Thanks for all your great tips. 👏👏👏
Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful.
Thanks for showing pricing BUT Etsy charges me for taxes (remitted) so my profit would be very low if I aim for 30% more. How do you deal with that?

Isn’t already too late to post back to school shirts?
