You're wrong. It looks like a railgun but it's actually a hostile NPC jet using his cannons and then missiles. They can fire those cannons in any direction, at any angle they wish, not just straight ahead.

Think about it like this. Anytime you're playing a video game, and NPCs are missing you, it's because they are programmed to miss. They are fully capable of hitting 100% accuracy shots, they even know exactly where you are, but our program to act as if they don't. It's actually kind of weird to think that you have to program artificial intelligence to not find the player or not hit every shot
They miss? As far as I know they have the same accuracy as your average player. Meaning they almost always hit. And the AI obviously doesnt know where exactly you are. It only has a general idea. Otherwise the whole escapibg the police feature wouldnt work.
In strategy games like Total War I guess its more that they fire at a general area rather than an enemy unit and it has some randomness of where in the area their projectiles will hit introduced into it.
There's one mission you can do with Trevor that makes it super easy to invade the base, it's the one where you have to shoot the satellite dishes with a sniper rifle. While this mission is active, you are unable to get stars, and as long as you don't fail the mission by leaving the other guy you're supposed to go to some other town with behind or killing him, you can waltz right in and steal a jet (though you have to be extremely quick with getting the jet into the nearby valley, as the fighter jets are single seaters, so the mission fails pretty soon after climbing inside, but if you know what you are doing, you can pull it of with ease)
You got shot immediately because you flew directly into fort zancudo, if you only skimmed the edge of the no fly zone you would have had a few seconds to turn around

Actually the warning signs one has a chance to be true, since when i was playing on PS3 I was taking lots of pictures around the base to see if anything happens and after a while i got a 4 star wanted level and endless jeeps coming after me. Now whether it was because of the pictures or i accidentally went close to the gate guard and somehow saw me is something that could happen too
Fort Zancudo has lock on missiles and random explosive shots that come out of nowhere that you can't stop because they literally come out of thin air and there is no source of them that you can destroy so air vehicles aren't that great an option within Fort Zancudos air space. Invasion would be best done with a bunch of Khanjali tanks. The players may have superior firepower, but Zancudo spawns infinitely, so the battle would never end.

You'll need the Following Vehicles from Warstock: Cache and Carry in order to pull this off: • the Pyro. • the RM-10 Bombushka. • the Titan. • the Rhino Tank. • the Crusader. • the Barracks. The First part will be to Take the Area of Sandy Shores, Harmony and Grapeseed. Once the Sandy Shores Airfield is under your control, get the Pyro's, Bombushka's and Titan's ready for a Sortie over Fort Zancudo. • The Bombushka's will Take off from The Sandy Shores Airfield, fly at Around 20,000 Feet (6,154 Meters) Altitude, and come up on Fort Zancudo from the South as if you're the Eighth Air Force from World War Two. Since you'll be Flying in the Combat Box Formations and with the Limit of 10 Bombushka's of the Same color at any given point, You'll have 2 Different Colors to work with, each having 9 Planes. One group will have Olive Drab on the Top, while the other Group gets a Sand Yellow, but both groups will have Gray on the Bottom of their Planes. • While the Bombushka's are Forming up and/or Climbing to 20,000 Feet, the Titans will be Taking off with their Loads of Paratroopers to drop in and Around the Area. The Main Focus of these Airdrops will be the Back Gate as well as the Bridge nearby as well as the Areas by the Hangars. GTA V missiles/fighters are the least most realistic thing ever: -Deal absurd amount of damage (Realistic, a missile usually is enough to destroy a plane) -Insane guide system (Not realistic, a missile is prone to lose moving targets. They're very effective due their high speeds, faster than human reaction time to dodge) Corollary, if you fly in circles you MIGHT dodge a GTA missile, but they're capable of doing several circles without losing you. -Overpowered cooldown: We already know that the fighters following you when you enter the base are inoffensive, cause the actual missile is launched from ground by a soldier. Well, assuming the guy uses the homing missile launcher, there might be at least 10 seconds between missile shots. Of course, even if the game does a soldier launching 4 rockets at once, it's obvious it's just for cheap code. In some fictional reality is understood as there's several soldiers aiming at you. Making the military base THAT hard is kinda unuseful. Hardcore players will have a nice time breaking in, and of course it's satisfying escaping it with your Rhino or your jet, but... Why that hard? We're just risking a life for what, a minigun we can buy finishing the game? A tank available since the beginning online? The only thing you could like is the fighter, but most of the time you're getting shot down. Hard is as fun as everyone wants to, but hard without anything in paid...

Since you'll be Flying in the Combat Box Formations and with the Limit of 10 Bombushka's of the Same color at any given point, You'll have 2 Different Colors to work with, each having 9 Planes. One group will have Olive Drab on the Top, while the other Group gets a Sand Yellow, but both groups will have Gray on the Bottom of their Planes.
• While the Bombushka's are Forming up and/or Climbing to 20,000 Feet, the Titans will be Taking off with their Loads of Paratroopers to drop in and Around the Area. The Main Focus of these Airdrops will be the Back Gate as well as the Bridge nearby as well as the Areas by the Hangars. On a Cautious note, the Titans might have the Same limits as the Bombushka's and Other Aircraft, so you'll be Grouped into Flights of 3 Aircraft.
• Once the Titans have Taken Off, the Pyro's will get ready to Escort them and Provide Close Air Support for the Paratroopers and the Task Force coming in to relive and, If need Be, Evacuate Fort Zancudo.
• While the Aircraft are Getting Ready for Their Respective parts, a Task Force with a Tank Company of 10 Rhino Tanks (2 Tanks for the Company HQ and 2 Platoons each with 4 Tanks) and an Infantry Platoon with a Crusader and 3 Barracks Trucks will start to move along the Dirt Road Connecting Sandy Shores Airfield to Fort Zancudo. If things go well, the Paratroopers will holding the Last Bridge to the Back Gate of Fort Zancudo when the Task Force gets there, and the Task Force should be able to See and Hear the Explosive Bombs going off.
Equipment for all troops will be the Assault Carbine for Truck Drivers and Squad Commanders, Machine Guns for the Squad Gunners, RPG's for the Platoon Command Sections and each Flight of 3 Titans, and Assault Rifles for the Riflemen.
If you have to Evacuate, Hold the Line at Harmony and don't let the Military and LSPD Break through. Hold on to Sandy Shores Airfield as that'll ensure that you'll have Air Support.

GTA V missiles/fighters are the least most realistic thing ever:
-Deal absurd amount of damage (Realistic, a missile usually is enough to destroy a plane)
-Insane guide system (Not realistic, a missile is prone to lose moving targets. They're very effective due their high speeds, faster than human reaction time to dodge) Corollary, if you fly in circles you MIGHT dodge a GTA missile, but they're capable of doing several circles without losing you.
-Overpowered cooldown: We already know that the fighters following you when you enter the base are inoffensive, cause the actual missile is launched from ground by a soldier. Well, assuming the guy uses the homing missile launcher, there might be at least 10 seconds between missile shots. Of course, even if the game does a soldier launching 4 rockets at once, it's obvious it's just for cheap code. In some fictional reality is understood as there's several soldiers aiming at you.
Making the military base THAT hard is kinda unuseful. Hardcore players will have a nice time breaking in, and of course it's satisfying escaping it with your Rhino or your jet, but... Why that hard? We're just risking a life for what, a minigun we can buy finishing the game? A tank available since the beginning online? The only thing you could like is the fighter, but most of the time you're getting shot down. Hard is as fun as everyone wants to, but hard without anything in paid...
