I want to believe in god but something holding me back I don’t why maybe the doubt because I have never seen his power
What about praying against pedophilia? The corruption of God's children? Is that a forgivable sin? Genuinely asking, because the more I keep seeing all this pedophilia going around our Nation, the more hatred I feel towards them..

I know I shouldn't pray evil for my enemies, but what about God's enemies? Like atheists who mock the Bible and our Lord. Can't I pray that God gives them some sort of public chastisement to make them see the errors of their way?

I once worked in a food pantry. And the manager was a mighty woman of God. She came up to me crying one time. Saying we don't have any food, let's pray. We prayed and a half hour later. Our phone rang the person on the other line apologized and said he was supposed to deliver a load last week he be there in a half hour he showed up with 18 box's of baby back ribs a palet full of bread it blew my mind ❤

Throughout scripture people were afraid and God gave signs and wonders to prove himself. Only when they didn't have faith, like Zechariah the Priest, did He do something about it (Binding his tongue, through the Arch Angel Gabriel, until he was obedient and named his son John- John the baptist, Zechariah the Priest should have known from Sarah and Abraham that his wife would conceive if God said so). Scripture says to "Humble yourself, therefore under the mighty hand of God, and He will lift you up in due time. Cast all of your anxiety on Him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:6-7. We can wrestle through a fear in prayer. Don't demonize fear and worry and shame people for praying through that. That's legalism. That is spiritual abuse. Of course we should bless our enemies. Most people's reaction to the Living God is a healthy fear. Where is your scripture for this?
I'm asking the maker of the video where his scripture is for telling people not pray in fear? People can pray in fear- God takes care of the fear. God heals people. Telling them not to approach at all is shaming them. It will make them not go to God and fall away from the faith.
You are giving the enemy a foothold.
"It would be better for him to have a millstone put around his neck, and he be cast into the sea, than any man make one of these little ones fall"- and that scripture, though about children, can be applied to those younger in the faith...
It is a fearful task to be a teacher. Be careful what you preach. Especially regarding prayer and communion with the Living God.

I'm having a hard time with this? Any advice??
I have experienced this very thing! I was being verbally attacked by someone at work quite often and at first I found myself hating her and having anxiety etc. I was hitting my breaking point and one day I decided right after it happened and this time she had made an ugly comment too...I just decided to pray. I suddenly felt compassion for her remembering that there's a spirit behind it. As I prayed for her I noticed the attacks became less and I forgave her. God brings joy and peace ❤ ! 😊
Someone prophetic said ( regarding the person in my story ) they were dealing with a jezebel spirit over their life. There's past trauma that hadn't been dealt with. It really opened my eyes on how things can occur from what someone has been through and what's manifested over their life
God is merciful. He taught you love and compassion through your trials. Continue to meditate in his word and pray in line with Ephesians 1:17-19 for God to continue to open your eyes. May he be with you❤

He really did show me that. I have asked Him to help me see through His eyes. I feel much more different than before. This is not a bad thing. In order to not divert into praying selfishly. It helps you intercede for others, bless others, and make petitions for others. Intersessions are one of the condiments that makes up a God acceptable incense. 1 Timothy 2:1

I struggled with this for years... One of the best teachers I ever had told me "you can't hate someone you pray for" I had a very hard time praying for the person who abused me for years... It took me 30 years to actually be able to pray for that person correctly.. to not want them to go to hell..

I used to pray every single second of my life just saying the same thing on repeat thinking if i didnt then id be sinning. Til i realised that was legalism and God wants my prayers to be sincere.
Thats why its so important with forgiveness, you probably haven't forgiven them.
Release forgive and bless them, whomever they are ask the holy spirit to show you those you havent forgiven

I don’t pray for myself but for my family and I ask Jesus to give my family guidance
Pray for forgiveness of those who may have hurt you and ask the Lord to show them the truth where the truth shall set them free
I'd like to forgive them myself, especially since they are and always were close to me. Although I've been kinda pushing them away. How much can a very sensitive child bear? I've started hiding how I feel very long time ago. It reduced the time I was yelled at. It also created a barrier between me and my parents and it's been growing ever since. It's a little bit better now. Mostly because I started working on myself with a psychologist and it has helped me express myself again. I don't care about their opinion as much anymore. And I don't let them dismiss my feelings anymore. I've started talking with them more lately, but mostly with my dad. I still don't talk much with my mum. I really wish I could hear sorry from her. It's hard to forgive someone if you don't even know if they regret it. Would they do anything differently if they could go back in time? Do they even realise how much struggle they caused me?

But taking into account how I've felt after reading your comment, maybe there's something in it. Or it's just taking everything personally, as I usually do. Guess it can do both. After reading a few articles, it seems I might also have a wrong idea of what pride actually is. Still is it really so bad to want to be apologized? I've actually tried forgiving her a couple times, but it comes back. Maybe I just wasn't fully convinced if I want to forgive her. Maybe that's why it came back. Let go of the anger. Idk if I've ever felt anger without feeling sadness. Guess I'd have to let go of it too, but I don't know if I can.
Prayer and fasting. Well reading a full chapter wasn't really helpful. What should I even pray for? For me to be able to forgive her? Hmm looks like it. Idk I'm just tired. But it was worse before I started talking about my childhood. I kinda told myself a long time ago that feelings are something bad and it's better not to feel them. So I ended up bottling it all up for years. Mostly sadness and anger, and I think fear too. Should I just let it all go in one moment? Is it even possible? It'll probably come back the next time she says something about me. There was a point when I wanted to talk with God about it. But every time I crossed myself to pray, I bursted into tears

@@veni5126I have been very hurt by my parents also. It can take a lot of time. There is no shame in asking God for help in this, as it is a difficult thing.
Pray and ask God to bless them, and pray that he guides and softens your heart. Pray before you see them, and pray afterwards also. Keep on praying and things will change, and so will your heart. God Bless you.

I watched a pastor say that if christ came to retrieve his wife he'd been sent to hell because of his heart. Praying, meditating, and reading scripture will not save you, your heart must align with the spirit, and I felt convicted. My heart disgusts me, and I pray for purification through christ and the spirit, I reject my heart because I want to be like christ, and be guided by the spirit, and be good. My heart is filthy and wicked, thoughts run through my mind that is not of the spirit sometimes and I worry for my salvation because of my heart, so I thank christ for his mercy and forgiveness and his grace that he is patient with me, so I also pray for correction through the spirit. I also want my brethren out there to feel convicted as well, we must seek for christ and be born again through water and spirit. Reject your heart and pray for healing and peace, and walk with the spirit. Time is short for everyone whether the end times are here or not. We are not promised tomorrow, turn away from evil and find your comfort in grace through the spirit and listen to be corrected.
I feel unworthy, but I have been blessed since birth, and I hate that I've done little good through christ to be annoited through his grace, but I found the way and I have to keep walking the narrow path. Pride must be destroyed, so I can be humble and do things of the spirit, I said I submitted and surrendered to christ but my heart has said differently. I ask how I can purify my heart, christ has shown little to me but I will keep seeking to find these answers in patience, scripture and praying. Let it glorify my king in this, christ Yahshua, let it be known, all things, will glorify him. My hope is him, my salvation is through him, and my heart will be his when it aligns with the spirit. I talk with myself and ask, why heart, why have you forsaken me? When you know you'll lead me to hell, and won't accept the spirit like I want to, I want the spirit and christ, and eternal life, I want to be corrected and only because he is graceful I have time to find purification. Why have you done this to me heart? Just accept youre defeated in your wrong ways and turn to christ as I want you to.
I wonder if mind and heart are two seperated entities? I thought I was with christ until this revelation that my heart was on the other side of the fence. I will do as the spirit and christ has said to do in scripture, I won't go against it to the best of my ability, and my heart is my enemy. I'm lost and confused but through patience, I hope it will choose christ and be born again.
Reading this for me was like looking into a mirror. My heart is almost exactly the same way you described only i'd describe as being made of solid cold stone. It's like there's no feeling at all, and it's like being indifferent to any situation that makes normal people react emotionally. I'm like this monotone sound that doesn't vary in pitch or scale...like ------------------------. No variations, no up's or downs, it's weird and I don't like it. I have been praying that my heart be made flesh again and purified through the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is a daily battle, even more than that it's like a moment to moment battle and a very tough road. I hope and pray for you that you'll get the purification you're trying to find!
@Marcus_Aflavius yes, I will pray for you for a new heart, one I'm seeking for as well. It saddens me that I don't know the voice of the spirit, other than spirit filled thoughts. I believe my heart is in the way of the spirit, and maybe the guy that said to help others is about right, we should go and seek christ alone in private in nature and going to help others and spread the good news, maybe christ will see and grant us these things. When I think of all the horrible things my husband has said to me, I start to get defensive. It’s a reaction. I want to respond, not react. I pray for forgiveness and for patience. I actually had to block him from all communication but I still pray for him to be blessed and to have peace.

The Lord just showed me this a week ago I was going through a financial crisis and was not sure where my next meal for my family would come from and was praying out of worry and then I was lead to Matthew 6:25:34 and every day since I have gotten a meal from a family member and co worker who has came to me and asked if I wanted food He is good and will never forsake us

Prayer can be be learnt and Jesus teaches us to pray according to his word. The disciples came to him and saying "teach us to pray" and he gave them a pattern (the Lord's prayer as we now know it)
There are many ordinances concerning prayer but the spirit of God must direct you as well. Nevertheless I'd recommend these for a start
Ephesians 1:17-19
Philippians 1:9-11
Psalms 139:23-24
1 Timothy 2:1-2
Matthew 9:37-38
These passages cover subjects of prayer pertaining to ourselves, seeking God, becoming holy and seeking that men will be brought into God's house

For years my prayers have been selfish prayers. Since I have grown closer to God in the last couple of months, my prayers are to have a heart for lost souls. To love and walk in the fruits of the spirit. And so much more for His kingdom and doing His will.
It seems like your prayers still don't involve praying for others. Please do that, because it is really important. If you pray to GOD to help you, then pray also to GOD to help others like he helped you.

Amen, I notice that my school repeats the same prayer and I’m sure that the students don’t even understand it but still say it, I hope they are trusting the Holy Spirit to fix their prayer rather than praying in vain. I also notice my family not praying before eating and my sister and me are the only ones who pray, I agree I repeat some, but my sister prays the same prayer everytime, which I am also not sure if she is praying in vain. That’s all I have to share, I just hope they aren’t repeating it in a bad way.

I got into a major car accident yesterday and my car was totaled. I’ve been getting closer to God lately and to a breakthrough in the Holy Ghost! The other person was at fault because she was drunk, had a child in the car, and pulled out in front of me. I prayed after the accident in the closest gas station bathroom… after everything was said and done and I got home. I put down everything and started praying intently! The very first thing I started to pray was for that lady and her child and the situation they find themselves in. The lady was arrested on site, idk what is going to happen to the kid, but I prayed intently and loudly for God to move in their lives! And rebuked the Devil for all his ways! After that I thanked God intently and loudly and started Dancing and Jumping on the Devil claiming victory!!
I have a personal testimony about this story that has affected my life, and I would love to share it.. but this message is too long as it is HAHA lol.
