I made a FB post the other day asking people what their favorite NBC Conan bit was, and people kept on going on for days. I'd think they'd cover everything and then sombody would be "Oh, yeah, and Walker Texas Ranger lever!"
Seth Shaw I loved that show to death back then. Conan is still great but he was just way more rawer back then. Him and Max Weinberg had amazing chemistry, too.
It's too bad that Joel wasn't given the choice to transition to LA but I think with Andy returning for _The Tonight Show_ there wasn't enough for both of them to do. The sad thing is that when Mike and Jessie wanted Joel for the _Inside Conan_ podcast in 2021, no one at Team Coco had his contact info until Jordan found a phone number that worked and it turned out Joel was living in Southern California. They didn't discuss 2009 but it was good to hear Joel talk about his time on the show.
I actually have never watched the cable Conan. Because cable kinda blows. And I lost interest. Is it really missing all this type of humor? And if so, _why_?
This Conan was great, when he left to make more money to the Tonight Show and then to TBS he just sort of lost his soul... I did not even bother watching any of that TBS and Tonight shows, I would just watch some clips on TH-cam but you could tell his heart wasn't in it anymore.
The old Late Night show had so many good recurring bits.

Sanjaya was on American Idol in 2006. I think this was either June 2006 or May 2007, since Dane Cook is the first guest.
