I am so proud of this replay. Still the total amount of destroyed Pantheons could be greater, but nothing would change in terms of score, since the counterstop.
Basics of the game consist of making buildings as bigger as you can, then destroying them to send extra houses and lines to enemy, until they don't have room for others in their land. When shooting pieces, they will destroy a building if the vertex hits another of the same color; they can change color of the adjacent blocks, instead, if nothing is destroyed.
Depending on the building you destroy (House, Palace, Castle, Pantheon), you get a special power up. Arrows push back the wall at the top, Stars clear a color from your land, Moons turn all blocks in your land into one color, Fire Balls will clear your entire land and replace it with a preset pattern of buildings.
The key for greater score is to clear Pantheons: 1 million when creating one, 5 millions when destroying one, 1 million when activating the Fire Ball powerup. Then, when you face certain enemies, also the preset pattern after using Fire Ball can be turned into a new Pantheon; as you can see, I applied this concept at its best on the Bonus Stage, by clearing just there 4 Pantheons.
Known emulation bug: when round is cleared, the text indicating your victory or loss doesn't show up.

I believe it's "the bronze structure", "the silver structure" and "the gold structure" to give you an audio cue for the building you've created. What they say at the start of a match, however, no clue. It sounds like "taste curry".

@@DryPsylocibin Omg you found it! We've finally found it! I wondered for years, and never understood... I thought "super" instead of "silver". And when you create a Pantheon, it does not say "the pantheon structure" but "the PLATINUM structure"!

The starting match voice sounds like a quick "let's go to it", it's easier to hear in service mode. But still, don't take this as truth from the guy who took platinum for pantheon. :v
Voices I clearly understood instead, are the ones played in the map, before rounds 3, 6, 9, easier because you hear male voices if playing on 2P side. "The omens are good", "Now it begins", "I feel a strong power".

I think there are more after B, but if i remember properly, they provide even less content.

Huh interesting. I wonder what are the requirements, since even after choosing to continue 4 times in a single game I still got a B ending. Is it purely based on how many of a certain type of building you've made?

Ok i checked. On the overseas version, i can't actually get worse than ending B, so probably that's the limit. Like, even a game with 0 pantheon, 0 castles, 10 continues, with a grade of "C+", gave me an ending B.

I think what matters is the number of continues AND the buildings made. A play of no continues, but 0 pantheons 0 castles, gave me ending B

I have a PS1 port of the game, but the manual doesn't give basically any explanation at all to the arcade mode-specific things. There's just an explanation of the layout, powerups, and my favorite line - "How to win: You win if you force your opponent to lose". Very insightful, lol
