The one thing I admire about this product is that it gives old school vibes unlike the new products that are completely littered with Parallels. The rarity of the refractors will make it a chase with value(like it use to be). and I started collecting in 93 (Chris Webber)

I got some of this in 1996. The one gold card I got was a checklist (no player on it). What a bummer that was!
I love the old Topps finest basketball.the Michael Jordan cards we're awsome
This set was produced for 90's collectors.....The 1996 version has Derek Jeter, Troy Percival, Chipper Jones...etc Nostalgia for my era!
I always enjoyed the looks of these cards & there is something special about the ones that still have the peel on them (especially ones from the 90s). I just wish they had a guaranteed auto in the set!

It's out of my price range but loved the video and watching you rip this product. Not sure if it's worth the cost or not but you did seem to have landed most of the RC's one would be looking for and hoping for. Keep up the good work and we'll catch ya in the next one I guess. Im with you, the '96 design isn't my favorite. I tend to get brutalized in FF each year but I still bought a box.
Definitely to many products which I don’t like, but I do like the different format of this set no auto guarantee so I could live with this set and oust some others. Also what does the common and uncommon mean on the back of the cards

Great vid, chicity! I actually like the design and 1996 is when I stopped collecting so I’m not super familiar with the design. I like it tho. Just got back into the hobby a year ago.

I'm so sad my boy Moncada isn't playing good enough to make it in any new sets anymore. I was enjoying going after his 🌈 in these releases. I guess I'm going to have to pick another white Sox player to supercollect.
Kinda sucks they don’t put any info on the boxes anymore and when you go to look them up you have to search for the box info you’re looking for

This feels like Topps producing one too many sets. For the entry price, I’d consider Sapphire for the same chance of #/d cards in a box. Thanks for sharing.
I really dig this set and the low print run, but it's just too hard to justify the price vs the lack of hits per box.
I feel like the design of the base cards looks like it should be an insert or something and not the standard card

Thats why topps is too oversaturated compared to Panini. Looks at topps product options: chrome, chrome update, chrome sapphire, chrome update sapphire, bowman chrome, bowman chrome sapphire, bowman draft sapphire, chrome cosmic, chrome logofractor, chrome black, chrome platinum, bowman chrome x, chrome Allen ginter, chrome Ben baller, chrome gilded collection

The fact that Panini charges the same price for unlicensed product is insane.
@@BaseHeadSports panini has significantly more IP’s and brands. The amount of completely different products they put out is awesome. Also they don’t charge the same price. Panini usually puts out a box of Chronicles Baseball for $150, and you get 3 autos and 1 memorabilia card. A box of Allen and ginter costs about the same and you’ll get 1 auto and 2 memorabilia. Even chrome boxes barely get you one auto.
I usually really like the finest design, but this years is rough.

I thought a case was 8 boxes not 6. Topps is really cutting down on you getting your value.
That’s a lot of ripping and a lot of base to find 1 numbered card that isn’t even guaranteed
High 200’s for a box with no guaranteed auto and Mabye one numbered card. Hard pass.

Not a fan of these at all suckered in 96 and still suck now. Why bring this back don't understand and good luck hitting any numbered cards or autographs. Seems like they are grasping at straws at Topps/Fanatics on some releases.
