Aiba was definitely the correct choice to protect us from tiddy. Thanks to Date, there's probably no entity on the planet more tired of seeing boobs than Aiba.
Yeah. I think Julee is more worried about being embarrassed in her social circles by getting caught going to shady places than about laws or whatever. I mean, as long as she's got Night Owl, I really doubt the cops can touch her anyway.
The intro was INCREDIBLY Wong Kar-Wai influenced until it got to the crime scene, damn, they’re REALLY leaning into the setting of Hong Kong itself. I like it.
As someone who got really bored of all the Silent Hill lately and went back to re-watch the Siren LP, this is a real treat. A part of me wishes this was a slower, methodical game. But I can't begrudge a game for getting weird with it.
The introductory design of this, tutorial after tutorial, is extremely out of date and I can see how younger gamers might hate it, but this game has some real vibes that I'm going all in on. Think I'm going to buy this one.
yay finally! I was waiting for you to play this. The original Siren series is how I found your channel and I'm super excited to see how this one plays out.
Game is kinda rough but grew on me a lot. The environments look really good, not im graphical fidelity, but in actual design, they look actualy lived in. Also, it has more of forbidden siren in it than silent hill, actualy.
What rotoscoped faces? Even the reveal trailer from Dec 10th 2021 uses the same faces we see here. I'd go hunting further still but I'm getting --too old for-- _fucking tired of_ trying to make Google answer questions it patently doesn't want to.
I love that the only voice acting for her is confused painful screaming while normal text goes across the screen. I was listening to this while cooking lol.
At the same time, it's cool how the monsters get the script flipped on them. They clearly don't expect much resistance from humans, and then suddenly the hunter becomes the hunted as all their prey start whaling on them, parrying, and dodge-rolling around.
Haha, I went in knowing nothing of that title and the second I saw the title screen and that soundtrack, and SFG said it was mad by people we knew, I was sure this Siren ass game was made by the Siren director. Lo and behold it was.
I'm only twelve minutes into this, but the denzel washington film 'fallen' actually has a premise that is very similar to whats going on here, tho in the film denzel is a cop hunting a demon possessing people like this. It's a good movie, probably a fairly obscure one these days, a real rental store classic back in the day imo.
You can already level up all the passives. The first two, Vitality and Durability just start at Level 1 instead of 0. Every single person I've talked to / seen play this game have misread that level up UI in this exact way.
wait at 15:10 they show that you can hold LB to look for far away people, then at 27:03 you're railroaded into jumping off the roof, killing the host like it's no big deal wtf? can you even try to hold LB to look for targets below?
It establishes that Night Owl feels zero empathy for "lifeforms." Also it's a great bit. "I have to make sure to possess somebody else before I land, otherwise that might be bad (for me)!"
The 3rd Birthday, but good, with neat callbacks to the creators' older games instead of character assassination and a giant middle finger to fans of said games. Seems great, can't wait for more !
I'm really digging this game so far. This is certainly a way better and more interesting implementation of the Nomad Soul concept than _Omikron._ Also kudos to Yamaoka for another amazing soundtrack. It's doing a lot to help establish mood.
Aside from the constant tutorials, it looks a like a great game! And this came out three years ago? When I saw the trailer for it, I thought it still hadn’t come out yet. Or was it just translated to English recently? The “Full Slitterhead” design looks fantastic though. Can’t wait to see more.
Man, this is kinda bizarre, and even more so in being a bit more “mundane” than something really out there. More of a SH2 and 3 fan than of 1, but really enjoyed watching you play Siren and have seen a bit more on it and how it was created and all and felt it was an especially unique experience…so I’m a bit perplexed that, well, for one, that this is already out without much fanfare with having seen just a tiny bit on it…and that it also is a horror game all about combat. At least it’s interesting to compare to games like how Homecoming or even SH2 remake handled combat to this going full on action game system style. At first, controlling the dog gave Stray vibes, but probably just for the tutorial. Mostly it feels very Ghostwire to me, and neat as it was it kind of bored me that I stopped watching that early on. This, well…I just find it so odd they’d have that chase section, befitting of their kind of horror, only to pretty much immediately introduce a very capable combative character who you use to chase down another of these monsters. Is it meant to be horror or just using that for aesthetic? Not to say it can’t but it just feels like it’s trying to go in two different directions here. I’m not usually a fan of games where you outright can’t defend yourself, but there’s a middle ground, especially in Siren where many levels felt like a sandbox to figure out the best way to get around them. This shows a lot of tools so far, but I guess it’s a bit early to say whether it’ll continue to feel on rails.
What's funny is that in _Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep_ the replicants aren't sympathetic at all. The movie has the same basic plot as the short story, but completely reverses the polarity.
I can see why this wasn't successful. Not very many people would want to fight horrible monsters as the auntie from the dollar store or the bald drunk guy next door with a beerbelly.
This feels like a weird PS2 era horror game but on modern hardware and I'm definitely here for it.
The Most SGF LP material game in recent memory.
Thanks Aiba

Aiba, keeping an *_eye_* out for us, hurr hurr hurr...
calling it getting yoshied made me laugh way harder than it should have
It perfectly captures that sense of casual, cooly efficient cruelty
I love Julee. She wears a mask to hide her identity while she's doing blood magic and leaving DNA all over the city.
There quite a few perverts doing the same thing.
She doesn't really care about that. It's to keep her escapades of being an alien assassinating vigilante from interfering with her acting career!
Well, it's supposed to be Kowloon, so it kinda makes sense since that place was mostly lawless.
Yeah. I think Julee is more worried about being embarrassed in her social circles by getting caught going to shady places than about laws or whatever. I mean, as long as she's got Night Owl, I really doubt the cops can touch her anyway.

Yeah I actually laughed seeing the girl behind the counter at the deli a la Faye
@@ivant.w.9152I mean 3 minutes into the vid we literally get an approximation of the Fallen Angels tunnel scene
The artistic direction is really giving the most. The face overlays in the mental conversation are amazing.

So glad THIRD BIRTHDAY finally got a sequel.
yay finally! I was waiting for you to play this. The original Siren series is how I found your channel and I'm super excited to see how this one plays out.
same :D
yeah, saw this game and immediately though "yeah; that's a game I'mma watch supergreatfriend play".
That theme song is a banger.
10:35 "Of course, you might remember, in Omikron..." Jesus Christ, give us a warning next time.
Oh WHAT?! I gotta stop thrilling on this theme, and finish watching the video. It was giving me the Omikron vibes!
"Zero O'Clock" like the first episode of Siren ❤ I'm locked and fucking loaded, let's gooo
This game seems really cool.
Obviously Julee still thinks the spirit is a pervert, hence why she names it Night Owl after one of the greatest perverts in comics, Nite Owl
Literal boner for violence
Slitterhead? I hardly know her! Also that sounds painful so I probably wouldn't anyway.

There's a lot of games with possession mechanics (Stacking is an underrated gem), but I like how gruesome they treat it here.
Would you consider continuing Mizzurna Falls? I need more ouchy ouchy feet. This is pretty interesting though.
this looks amazing, but it's not the same without rotoscoped faces...

@@EggBastion I believe they're referring to Siren.
@@Blues_Light hey thanks
@@EggBastion siren, the director's previous game series, had rotoscoped faces
They weren't rotoscoped - they were photos of real faces projected onto the 2D models. I get what you mean though
Enjoying this so far, looking forward to seeing how this plays out!
Coming back to rewatch the intro while SGF is currently up to seven videos of this, and that intro holds a whole lot more meaning.
Oooooh, the intro credits music is goooood. It's got that 90's Bowie vibe that makes me hope we may see a Nomad Soul or two on this adventure!
HOW DID I KNOW THIS BY THE MUSIC ALONE?!?!
I love that the only voice acting for her is confused painful screaming while normal text goes across the screen. I was listening to this while cooking lol.
Now, this is the Good stuff
What a fascinatingly morbid game, using humans as disposable objects. I can't imagine what your body counts going to be by the end of the game.
At the same time, it's cool how the monsters get the script flipped on them. They clearly don't expect much resistance from humans, and then suddenly the hunter becomes the hunted as all their prey start whaling on them, parrying, and dodge-rolling around.
My lady gave me some Slitterhead and now I can't walk straight
Hey baby, what that proboscis face do
All this needs is Michael Ironside saying "They sucked his brains out!"
Ya, a little tutorial heavy, but ooohhh I'm invested already. :D
I am SO here for Blood Magic Sekiro.
whoa a 3rd birthday like

_You have my body, let's fight as one_

Video quality is excellent.
honestly this turned out to be very different from the game i expected. love the vibe though, very ps2 era

wait this came out
I know, right. I completely forgot all about this game until I got the notification from sgf.

Neat game, but it feels like it is really struggling to establish a tone.
Noticing that from a lot of the early horror greats as they get on in age.

This seems interesting. I only saw a few clips of combat with another rarity before that made it look pretty dull.
I cannot _not_ read this title as Shitterhead
I was Slutterhead! 😂
@@gagadreams where can I get me one o’ _those?_
I hate to be that guy but this is all basically very "inspired" by Parasyte: The Maxim.
Eh, borrowing from Parasyte worked fine for Resident Evil 4, so why not.
Aiba ! 😭

How Superbestie finds the time to play all these games blows my mind! 🤯
He lives in the digital realm. He is an emergent phenomenon.
IKR?? We literally know nothing about him.. He's an anomaly!
It's not _that_ unusual. It just depends on how many hours a week you have to work.
This game looks very late gen. Like something that would come from illusion games. And boy if you know about those games, your very sucio.
Gawd, those games are terribly optimised. They are like the Bethesda of smut.
@jeremytitus9519 as I get older I see that stuff as a joke it's like they're version of south park
