jetBlue hosted CellBlock FCS recently at Kennedy International, to discuss critical modern solutions for cabin safety. The Lithium-ion Battery Incident kit was designed with aviation in mind, where a thermal runaway incident can destroy a flight plan and worse.
Using high heat gloves, a FireShield blanket and the novel lithium-ion suppressant PED Pad, personal electronic devices including cell phones and external battery packs are no longer the threat they have been. Watch as COO Matthew Vandemark safely and quickly controls a device in thermal runaway.
