The boat came from sodus point ny,owned by a friend that the boat had Ben in the family for two generation's,it was always a real treat to go for a ride, cool to see it such a magnificent restoration
I read about the restoration of the boat for the movie in the magazine called "Wooden Boat" but am still waiting to hear when the film will be released.
Love the boat but Hemingway is a woefully overrated author. Pseudo intellectuals love to boast about their love of Hemingway's work when they obviously have no clue what they are talking about. It became fashionable to be a fan of Hemingway's work, nothing more.

That was my buddies boat, been on it many times. Weird feeling seeing it here now and saying "yeah, I cruised up there on that bow"!

Wonder what happened to that movie? Should be out by now, right?
I thought the company that originally built Pilar was building another like her now, but this sounds like a different boat
Don't think "Hemingway and Fuentes" has ever been filmed.
Read 'Hemingway's Boat.....'..... The real Pilar is in a poor state on stilts at his home Cuba.
That is a fantastic book.
Might've been great with Anthony Hopkins. Jon Voight? Why bother.
Fascist Jon Voight playing Hemingway is ironic because Hemingway killed fascists
OMG, we have a triggered libtard in our midst! BTW, you need to revisit the definition of "fascist".
@@flyurway Hemingway and Orwell were in Spain killing fascists in 30s. and here I am

Makes me sick to see John Voigt of all people play Earnest Hemingway. Papa must be spinning in his grave.
