- Sage Uddalaka asks his son Svetaketu: What is that knowledge by which we hear the unhearable, perceive what cannot be perceived and know what cannot be known? Inspired from this story from the Chandogya Upanishad, Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches the great saying (mahavakya) - Tat Tvam Asi (That Thou Art).
This discourse is also inspired from a verse from the Brihadharanyaka Upanishad (Mantra 4.4.12) as taught in the book, Pancadasi by Vidyaranya: "If a man knows the Self as ‘I am this,’ then desiring what and for whose sake will he suffer in the wake of the body?"

Beautiful, there are so many ways to practice Nondual enquiry , you have to listen every great all time Nondual teacher's teaching and definitely gradually you will come to know what is common in everyone's teaching and what they are pointing out always , focus on the idea of teaching , meditate on it, keep patience, live a life of total surrender to God then you will see , magic starts happening in your life . As per my micro level understanding, I want to share about the "who am I" enquiry, and still learning as I am a beginning student in this . Being aware is being aware of being aware. Consciousness is conscious of consciousness." I am " ness is aware of awareness/consciousness. Subject and object merges. Emptiness comes out of emptiness and merges in emptiness. Only Emptiness. Only God's being, Our being is God's being, only being ness. Ultimately, No words can be fit to describe it , indescribable. How to move from intellectual understanding to Reality?
A simple meditation technique that I am using is like this -
1. Nari suddhi pranayam that is prescribed by Shankara himself.
2. Anulom-Belom pranayam.
3. Memoryless meditation -
a) Dissolve the language, and observe sounds.
b) Dissolve the sounds, and observe absense of sound (physical silence).
c) Dissolve the silence and stay there.
Repeat until this is stabilized. 🙏🏼
Who is asking? Me. Who am I? Trace the source of the prime thought “I Am” on which the whole edifice rests. Keep at it; Grace will reveal itself - Tat Twam Asi.

Great talk as always , just a question about the 10 men story bordering me, as the key point in the story is the finding of the 10th man, the self, and project the allegory to our real beings to find out our true self but not expecting to observe it as an external object... The point in the 10 men story is that how they new at first place before crossing the river that they are 10, they had the knowledge that they are 10 and after crossing they searched for 10th, but what is our knowledge in first place while searching foe the true self?
Well,it is shrouded in Maya and all our sadhana is only to brush aside the maya which is not existent
