The drummer is Seth Engle, another Chicago artist that goes by Options and is hands down my favorite artist of the last 3 years. Check out the new Album Wind's Gonna Blow or my personal favorite Maxed Out
whoah i listened to this daily for 3 months about 5 years ago. just had this recommended after all this time and i'm a different person to who i was then. this song still hits the same though
Unreal. Unironic “unit” of a band. Nnamdi, the drummer, the bassist, just WOW. Also the lights flickering when Nnmadi’s just spamming the guitar transports me to another time. Another world…
we all knew we were witnessing something special that night at young camelot. big ups to the the YC guys, Nnamdi, Seth, and all the 2010s Chicago homies.
This song will never grow old to me. This song is incredibly creative and just goes to show what NNAMDI's truly capable of. All the songs on all of his albums are good and all, but the pure melodic and emotional songs near the ends of his albums are just the best.
@@lockeempty4333 my boy adam bosarge! he played in the math rock band half milk a couple years back and now does a lot with his band wyld katz which puts out an improv comedy concept album every month. they also do a weekly podcast called wyld katz & the podcast. if you like the bass that's happening in this song, i definitely recommend half milk, songs like kentucky blue gravity and icerev returns his wings have some very similar bass styles. very cool stuff!!
Your DRUMMER is fucking SIcK. He just went 12 rounds with those sticks in 3 minutes. My hats off to you. And the WHOLE band. You guys sound really good together. On time together
Was already impressed, even more by the dude on the drums going ham at the end...but when I heard the applause and pan of the camera move to a LIVE audience really sealed the deal. That takes mad skill and to do that live is crazy🤯
God even after years I still come back into this. Truly tear-jerking. Beautiful, emotive instrumentation and honest as hell lyrics. Listened to Nnamdi’s new stuff and he seems to make different shit now but still so sick watching this raw display of emotion
Not sure how I stumbled upon Nnamdi yesterday but I'm already a huge fan of him and most of his projects. If I'm ever in Chicago I'd love to jam with him some
this song is such a friggin classic. Absolutely no recognition compared to the emotional and songwriting weight it holds. Just simply amazing work by Nnamdi and the fellas.
I'm listening to this, while I'm visiting Chile, to see a friend who I really care about. She means everything to me, and is the only reason I came to Chile - to see her! I'll never let you go Romina!
i've listened and relistened to this song a thousand times even though I only found it like two weeks ago but i've never been more enchanted by a single song or performance in my life. godspeed nnamdi
This is such an amazing blast from the past, youtube recommend me this song and I clicked on it because it looked familiar and all my memories started flooding back
Hi guys i still love this song
Hey dude same
It's been five years, but I always come back to this. Still blows me away.
Same here man, you can find my comment from the past somewhere in this comment section.
Yep. I hope TH-cam makes a "super-favorite"
The drummer going in so hard that he just violently smacks the symbols as he stands up to walk away is priceless.
yeah. same here. LOVE THESE GUYSSSS!!!!
so sick
hope she sees this bro
genuinely made me laugh
To me, this is the original one
10000%
Hey Seth, i'm back watching the video again.
why is nnamdi not famous yet
lol
HOLY SHIT YOU ACTUALLY RESPONDED
tru tho.
Nnamdi Ogbonnaya jammer
Emo revival forever bruh...
I love how the drummer gives it so much he has to bunk at the end and almost passes out haha. Such passion!
Yes! 😍

Danny Morris hell yeah Seth Engel rules
@@Lindvvyrm seth also plays guitar in coaster another good ass band and also literally runs this channel
Still the best live performance on TH-cam
Glad this got documented
Jeezus, I think I must have listened to this for 3hrs straight. Didn't expect the lyrics to to hit like that.
yeah, that's fucking beautiful
just stopping by in 2021 to say i remember this show fondly
Stopping by in 2023 to say I'm glad you stopped by! lol
Even more emotional and jazzy than the studio version. This is gold
whoah i listened to this daily for 3 months about 5 years ago. just had this recommended after all this time and i'm a different person to who i was then. this song still hits the same though
Drummer gets all his emotion and power from the mustache
I drop by every now and then to listen to this like 3 times to remind myself that this is my favorite live performance ever
The look on the bass player's face when the drum misses a bit at 1:54 :)
lmao I've seen this quite a few times and never caught that
lol 💀
sometimes its really cool to have ears
The studio version is more graceful and smooth while this live version is more emotional and moving

3:30...I keep coming back, that raw energy hits everytime.

Dammmmn that drummer, he definitely gave it all during the last part !
SharkySnack forget his name but he's crazy talented too
Seth Engel.
Puddle Splashers my man
while we're at it... who that bassist?

How this does not have 1M views within the last 7 years is a mystery to me.
Discovered this on reddit today, after 2 years of Midwest-Emo listening, wth this is so beautiful
Your DRUMMER is fucking SIcK. He just went 12 rounds with those sticks in 3 minutes. My hats off to you. And the WHOLE band. You guys sound really good together. On time together
Love that bass note triplet part bit past 3:30...beautiful!
this video cures my depression
this sounds so much better than the recorded virsion. i love it so much
Mary Paluch agreed. This has way more passion
UM yeah!
i like this better I think because the mixing is pretty bad on the recorded version.
Let's not forget the batshit crazy drummer. He made this version 100x better
As the guy who mixed this, I'm flattered. But really, it's a matter of preference. The performances are different.
Was already impressed, even more by the dude on the drums going ham at the end...but when I heard the applause and pan of the camera move to a LIVE audience really sealed the deal. That takes mad skill and to do that live is crazy🤯
lol wat. this would still be live even if a crowd wasn't there.
@@thecloudmachine I'm saying it's Kool that they did that in front of people without messing up 🤷🏾♀️
@@1xvirgo853 That's the magic of live recording =]
It's a single pan to an expected event 🤷♂️
If lakeith stanfield was a musician, I imagine his music would sound like this
He is a musician?
He is lol 💀🤕🤞🏾

that is a dope bass tone mr adum
this song funcitonally made me say what the oh my god
In a good way?
This is one of the most beautiful, heartfelt songs I've heard.
Most underrated song on this entire TH-cam platform. For fuck sakes. Beautiful song executed perfectly.
my favourite video on youtube
So much love for this, that I want to bite someone to show my appreciation
Not sure how I stumbled upon Nnamdi yesterday but I'm already a huge fan of him and most of his projects. If I'm ever in Chicago I'd love to jam with him some
This didn’t get recommended , you searched for this
had it in a playlist actually
this song is such a friggin classic. Absolutely no recognition compared to the emotional and songwriting weight it holds. Just simply amazing work by Nnamdi and the fellas.
11,000+ views and only one dislike, there's something special here
Phillip Freedenberg sent me here coz he has this on his playlist and OMG is this good!!!!

omg greetings from chile this comment made me happy
I'm having the utmost, blissful, eargasmic experience right now. Happens very rarely these days. This band is a gem.
Really makes me miss Young Camelot
i've listened and relistened to this song a thousand times even though I only found it like two weeks ago but i've never been more enchanted by a single song or performance in my life. godspeed nnamdi
the drummer is so good
w1zard his name is Seth Engel and he is a confirmed shredder & sweetheart
Nice T-shirt of Joliette
He liked your comment...lucky
this hits different
When the camera panned to the rest of the room I was shocked. this performance feels so intimate almost like its just the band
I first heard this song years ago, you can likely find my comment from then. This is so pure, this is what music has always been about.
This gives me chills.
wow. where was I when this came out 5 yrs ago? thank you TH-cam recommended tab
that opening really high line, the feels
finding so many dope bands because of this channel! thx!
ending is so strong
i love how nnamdi looks at the drummer at 00:56 to let him know its the transition
This is such an amazing blast from the past, youtube recommend me this song and I clicked on it because it looked familiar and all my memories started flooding back
as close to perfect songwriting as it gets, love this so much
Saw NNambi in Teluon, Manitoba at Real Love music fest. My favorite performance. Inspirational as fuck.
i love how this song evolved throughout the years
It never changed mate. Still beautiful as always. ✌
crying in the club rn :,{
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmnnnnnnnn.
Before I die this video will hit over a million views, mainly from me watching it repeatedly. Love you nnamdi
Great song fellas!! Love the lyrics. And the drummer bugs out at the end, how rock star!! Lol

I like a lot more this version of Nnamdi than the actual music he is doing
Uhuh! 🖤
The light show is pretty cool!
Way better then the recorded version. I want an album of music like this.
Here's the whole set this was recorded from

Best version
Awesome!
The hendrix style of the 90s emo...So efffin good, I've seen him in a bunch of other videos on Audiotree. Playing bass, drums etc.

The bass part from 3:33 is so sick and I don't think it's in the studio version.
